The stigma against twinking never warranted this

That is not what twinks do though. Twinks game the system. They actually stop progressing, they stop becoming more powerful. They freeze their progression to isolate a tiny window and leverage that against other players.

Yes it is. Did you not see how much people complained whined and moaned about leveling taking too long until Blizzard was forced to nerf XP?

You know what makes leveling the fastest? Having a geared damn super character. Honestly people need to try gearing their characters and seeing how much more fun leveling is. It’s amazing, really.

See, here’s the thing… If you get BiS at level 20, and decide to quit the game, you can come back 2 expansions later, and STILL be competitive. Will items have changed? Maybe, but odds are the changes won’t be drastic enough to force you to completely re-gear, AND there is a good chance you have items that are no longer available (Band of Argus i mentioned earlier for example).

It means I get to play the game without running on the gear treadmill again.

Which is no difference to max level pvping. Just more tears at that bracket I guess.

Very good point aside from max level being garbage most of the time.

Well, I never had a problem with twinks at low level bg’s if the power curve is within an acceptable level.

It simply becomes boring if you get one shotted, two shotted or the like. Why bother even playing then?

It’s not even PVP but just boredom.

gearing is one of the most fun things to do in the game. i have 10 120s that i’ve geared between 360-380 because i have fun doing it. i am not a competitive player so i don’t do more than random bgs and lfr but it’s fun doing that for me. a shooter game would be better for someone who doesn’t like to gear though right?

And leveling players have questing, dungeons, pet battling, etc. tons of other methods of leveling. That’s why I think ruining how people want to play for the sake of people casually meandering through brackets with bad gear is a bad decision for the game.

Yup, where everyone’s equal and there’s no weird advantages. People in WoW wanted that, but we got templates which would have worked if they did them right, but they were really bad.

It’s not low ilvl gear because it’s literally the gear you get while questing and doing dungeons, etc. It’s the average gear a player will have by the time they reach 29. There’s some missing slots there, because you’re unlikely to get them filled due to rng.

Expecting people to ‘easily just buy gear off the AH’ some of which costs thousands of gold per piece, per bracket… at specific levels; then pay more for further enchanting is absurd.

Yet you think its okay to take battlegrounds from them?

Who do you think the majority of your killing fodder is? You think it’s fun for that guy you just two-shot? But its so easily justified in your head by “well he didn’t do his homework so screw him”. Fighting against a twink is simply not fun. I have twinked out a guy before, once, and it disgusting how easy it was to cleave through health bars and not even take 15% damage.

If you want to twink, just fight other twinks. What’s so bad about that?

The queue times are a price for the lifestyle you want to live. I don’t mind longer queues with no twinks. Like I said my battlegrounds have been way more fun and fair at the 20 and 30 brackets

I disagree. If the amount of people complaining about how slow the leveling process is, I think everyone would want highly geared characters with enchants to make the process go faster.

Most slots are filled with heirlooms, which are some of the only slots you can enchant anymore, anyway…so I think the exact opposite.

If people are going to complain leveling is too slow, then actively make the leveling process slower for themselves by doing things like not enchanting their looms, queing for BGs (notoriously one of the worst ways to level since the games been out) and other silly things…THAT’S absurd.

People complained about that for specific brackets, in which have mostly been addressed btw; the problem is not that each level goes by slowly either. It’s how many levels there are in total, and no the average person who isn’t going to spend thousands and thousands of gold per time they’re leveling a character just to be able to compete with people that decide to twink their characters for leveling battlegrounds.

This ^^^^^^
This says it all right here. If you want to win, why would you not want to have the best gear in the game to help you achieve that goal? Why would you not want to play your toon to your best ability & seek knowledge on how to improve your play?

That’s like sending out a platoon of people with flintlock pistols & no training on how to use them against a well trained & properly outfitted infantry. The new players & “casuals” are the platoon. While the seasoned pvp players are the infantry. The twinks make up the special forces. The elite of the elite. They win the fights & save the day.

You were having fun the wrong way.

Because it’s leveling, entry level. Not end game, end game is 120. Very simple answer to your question there.

A shooter? Now I am insulted… How dare you insinuate such a thing?! … lol

I am not going to tell you what you should think is fun, but as someone with 5 cutting edges, I have no interest in chasing Blizzard’s carrot at this point-- That is not fun.

cutting edge is the mythic achievement right?

Yes. It means you killed a given raid’s end-boss while it was the most advanced content available.

What gets me is these are the people that most argue opinions on the forums. They don’t even know what cutting edge means or what it actually takes to earn one. So why would they know about twinking and the like?

It just boggles my mind honestly.
