Twinking involves maxing out your character at non-max level. Usually, it’s an alt, because it can be very expensive depending on how committed you are and the rarity of your BiS pieces (so yes, you usually have your higher level characters feed gold, gear, and so on).
Make a community with a discord and coordinate games. Most twinks queue to play against other twinks right? They don’t twink to camp noobs and lower geared players RIGHT?
What exactly is twinking? I always thought it meant a max level character gearing a low level. Is that correct? What do people not like about this?
Twinking, in the context of WoW (you’re free to explore additional contexts if you’d like), is just that. Although I have helped people make twinks who didn’t have all the expansions.
At its essence, twinking is just staying at a certain level point, and making that your endgame. As much effort as you’d put into your max level character, you put into your twink.
There are always the ones that will, but a lot like to do battlegrounds and many love the arena setting.

This is accurate, in my bracket anyway.
Exactly, the twink community already does all these things. But random BGs? Queues are just too long to support segregated BGs. Even if twinking is fairly common, there aren’t enough of us for steady, around-the-clock matches. If there were, I’d be fine with having our own queues. Last time Blizzard separated us, though, twinks didn’t quit because they had to play other twinks - they quit because it took 1-2 hours to find a single match, sometimes more.
tough luck then… your fun shouldnt be at expenses of the majority because you find it funny and nice to faceroll and making bg’s end up in the first engage…
Oh, this is simple.
Years ago:
Non-twinks: We don’t like being roflstomped, it;'s not fun!
Twinks: We don’t mean to do that, we just want to fight other twinks (knowing wink to other twinks)
Blizzard: Ok, we’ll make it so you can turn off your xp- gain, but you’ll only be with ohter people who turned it off. Other twinks.
Twinks: That’s what we said, but that’s not what we meant!
Not our problem, nor Blizzard’s.
Level up, or don’t play your twink. Pick one.
Wait a minute…
Are twinks complaining about having to only face twinks in PvP?
Like a major league baseball player complaining that no one will let him play on the tee ball team.
Battlegrounds are a pvp activity that you choose to do. In that way it is exactly like Warmode.
In Warmode you risk being ganked by higher level, powerful characters. It may not be nice, but it happens, its a risk and anyone who turns on Warmode is obliged to recognise that they take that risk.
In a battleground, you risk being killed by a more powerful player. In the case of battlegrounds, it may be due to that character having better gear than you. It doesn’t matter whether they are X9 level or are the same level as you but just have that added excellence in gear and stats.
In both cases, a player makes an active choice. You choose to turn on WM and risk death out in the world. Or you choose to click on the queue for battlegrounds and risk death there. Sometimes you will enter a battleground without twinks or with ones that just aren’t very good. Or your team plays very well together, regardless of twinks. Luck is as big a factor as gear as often as not.
Punishing players who put time and effort into improving their characters is not the ideal solution. I don’t know what is, but using some enforced separation in an effort to level the playing field does not seem right to me.
choosing doesnt mean I’m willing to get facerolled by a bunch of cyber baddies that think twinking is good and if you don’t you’re bad at the game and worse thinking 2 shotting people and making bgs end after the first engage is good you prob need to re visit the basic common sense chapter.
What you fail to understand is there are 11 lowbie brackets as opposed to the one at max level. What may be a big community is spread out over those brackets and over 24 hours a day.
It’s not hard to be competitive in low level BGs with enchanted heirlooms and updated gear from the AH/quests/dungeons. No one is asking you to buy gear for 110k gold, most of mine was 200 gold or less. Enchants on BoAs also carry over level to level.
Whatever is going on is also affecting low level BG queues for levelers as i just sat in a one hour+ queue.
I want Blizzard to disable the xp off stuff, tbh ppl Is just getting tired of twinks, it is not fun to play with u all it doesn’t matter if u are in the enemy or Ally team, it’s pretty shameful and disgusting to watch twinkers camping graveyards and making comments like “this Is pretty Easy” everything twinking has brought to the game Is unfair competition, “hardcores” insulting non twinkers in random bgs or making fun of them, twinks are not positive for the game at all and they need to be removed from the game for real
BG tonight without twinks. If you think twinks are the reasons for your bad BGs, I got news for you. And yes, it started 10v10, but people quit and the game didn’t last long enough for replacements.
Unfortunately this is the truth. When twinks were put in their own queue they stopped playing. The few that remained behind interested in playing against other twinks ended up with nothing to do because there weren’t enough of them to even start a game. That’s why I think the people who are okay with an xp off queue are the exception not the rule.
Ok so the twink community coordinates games and get to play each other. I don’t understand the problem with having separate queues then. If this was all about getting to play each other you get to do that. So this whole debate is about filling the time in between your twink matches with non twinks?
Huh? I have multiple 120s, and actively raid (you can check my achievements). Twinking is just something to do between raid nights. I’ll likely continue playing this character at 110 regardless of what happens with BGs. There’s still islands, dungeons, and arenas. BGs aren’t all we do.
Exactly.
With all the ways to communicate inside the game, let alone outside it, that there’s still not enough twinks to get queues to pop on a regular basis does nothing to undercut that.
When twinks were put in their own queue they stopped playing.
I don’t blame them. Who wants to sit and coordinate queues just to do a BG?
