So, I just looked at a video about the next patch’s spell animations and I think the new MM eagle is hilarious.
Right now MM Hunters can either go solo with no pet, or they can have a pet to work with them. Cool.
But in Undermined all Hunters will have the laziest eagle ever as a pet.
It just comes down from the sky, and either it taps the enemy once or it just screams, and then it flies away back to wherever they like to nap.
This new generation of pets has no work ethic 
I wonder if that is how Hunters become Demon Hunters. The pet got lazy, so they turned to demons

Imagine if they came up with a system that let hunters choose what kind of animal companion they had!
Imagine not wanting to run with a pet at all but having to look at an eagle you don’t like all the time.
Yeah, there’s basically 2 types of MM Hunters. The ones who like pets and the ones who don’t.
The eagle has the fantasy of being a pet, which is bad for the “no pets” crowd, but it removes all the choice and customization from the pet system from MM, so it’s also bad for the “yes pets” crowd.
The Devs managed to find the “compromise” that leaves both sides unsatisfied lol

Agreed. They need to either ditch the eagle all together or add just a crap ton of customization options for it in the barbershop. Not just other birds, and not even just tamable pets, but unique models to give MM a little perk for losing their pets.
I’d actually be fine with either. Having nothing but the eagle is just extremely low effort and as you said the worst of both options.

The eagler is very underwhelming.
And to say theyve compromised in a way that leaves both sides unhappy is spot on. I was wanting a full on falconer. Its barely noticable even solo.
I’ve become substantially more anti-eagle over the last couple of weeks for reasons that have nothing to do with the game.
Imagine if they came up with a system where you could freely change your spec, and imagine if they made a spec for hunter that let you freely use not one, but two of the many beasts in the world?
Okay…can I just point out that that isn’t an eagle…it’s a peregrine falcon…
