This build is going to suck just like ret pala
I thought there wasn’t any holy resistance?
Holy Resistance isn’t a stat in the game, but level based resistance is in PvE - each mob/boss at higher level above you gains either +5 or +8 resistance to every spell school INCLUDING Holy which will result in PARTIAL resists to your Holy damage attacks - this cannot be overcome in any way even with Spell Penetration.
That being said, Smite is still a castable spell, which means that it still has to actually land first. Without enough +spell hit gear, your damage spells therefore have a chance to be fully resisted even in the absence of any Holy Resistance on the target.
Does that make sense?
TLDR - you will NEVER get a partial resist in PvP but you run the chance of getting one in PvE against raid mobs/bosses due to level resistance:
1067 SoC crit (178 partial resist)

So for your phase six-item list you have trinkets that just straight up do improved spell damage. Isn’t SotR your main spell since you’re rocking a one hander. And if that’s the case what is the logic behind not going with the BWL trinket to increase melee haste for more on hit?
I thought SotR gets like a 10% spell power coefficient?
dexterbravo ran the numbers - and that was also before the beta came out - so things may chance as the beta evolves
overall rule of thumb though is that it all depends on the length of the boss fight - if its a quick tank and spank then Scrolls are BiS forever - if it’s a long 5 to 6 min fight, then you may want something with either static stats or a quick 2min cd
ie: in naxx - either the blue argent dawn or the epic argent dawn spell dmg trinkets are OP AF against undead for example
For your pre-bis, you have some cloth items. You suggesting you heal those dungeons just to get priority on some of those for your “healing set”? Can’t imagine you’ll get a good reputation rolling on some cloth items as a ret paladin.
what is this “healing” you speak of?!?
When I clicked on this I was totally thinking a paladin who was good at Spelling Bees
Holy Resistance doesn’t technically exist. You get just a hair of “universal resistance” via the level difference.
Many Paladin abilities, however, are also treated as a proc from the hit (or being hit).
The reason there is no holy resist is that the Light is so strong none can resist it’s words, right?
I’ve just been calling them spellingbees. It fits since that’s what I always think when I read spelladin, and it reflects the seriousness I give to this attempted min/maxing tryhardness.
Can I fetch you a dress?
The Light is a bit strong…
Several private servers got it all wrong though, because they laughably believed Holy Resist was real. Rest assured, it does not exist.
we’re officially in business kids…
keep in mind that Elysium-Nighthaven has some serious bugs - MCP’s bug out after using the first 2 charges and Wrath of Cenarius ring doesn’t work there either so his DPS would have been HIGHER:

How does the new hit/parry values affect Spelladin? Rather curious since it seems a lot of the damage is auto attack based. It is heavy holy damage, but you do still hit for white damage. Since you’re using MCP, is the white damage virtually irrelevant?
EDIT: 24%~ of your damage overall is a good amount. It won’t hit as hard as the effects for Warriors or Rogues I think, but it’s still a good chunk.
mobs can’t parry from behind, so it’s a non-factor.
It doesn’t in any meaningful way. If you get even a single attack parried as a melee DPS, that’s your own fault, you shouldn’t have been in front of the boss.
Ah, fair point. I couldn’t remember if it was parry or dodge from behind.
You are hillariously unlikable.
I really don’t get what crowd gives you the time man.
Between feral and ret Gnomeregan is gonna be poppin off!
