Maybe we don’t have the same definition for leveling guild. These are guilds that will invite anyone that asks. They’re not going to be running competent raids but they’re always full of altoholics for dungeons of any level. It’s certainly more difficult to gear up a fresh 80 nowadays, we agree on that, but just declaring defeat when there’s plenty of solutions isn’t going to help anybody.
Why present a mechanic that is generating problems that never existed in the first place?
It’s counter productive.
I would wager theres more people interested in getting those last few hard to get items from the previous phase than there are new players in general. This change is definitely a net positive.
And without new or returning players coming to the game, the likely hood of it stagnating and dying out is much more likely to happen.
I wonder if the numbers they have access to tell a different story than people who are complaining on the forums.
Positives:
- It lets people get those last few hard to get items without dealing relying indefinitely on RNG
- It doesn’t require putting together a whole raid for only a chance at certain items
- It lets people get really good offspec items that they wouldn’t have been able to get in their guild runs due to competition from main specs
- It’s a new way to increase availability to rewards without nerfing raids to the point where they are a joke
Negatives:
- It dillutes the pool of players for each difficulty of dungeon
- Requires players to rely on social connections to complete the content
I guess they should just add those items to Argent tournament dailies
-you don’t need 5 man
-it lets people get those last few hard items
-it’s a new way to increase avaibility of rewards
-doesn’t require social connection
You’re happy right?
Either way, I came back to play WotLK.
Not WotLK +/ Mythic +/ Raidgeardungeons. W/E the hell you want to call it. It isn’t true to the WotLK experience. I’m sure I am not the only person who shares this sentiment.
I won’t be supporting it.
This doesn’t change enticing people to start playing classic.
If there was no h+/h++ players that this content is geared for wouldn’t be running regular heroics either. New or returning players would have all the same challenges they have today.
what social connections? we just sign up on LFG and spam trade/lfg chat until someone picks us
ToC isn’t gonna entitle a lot moreover when it’s during the summer.
We all know at best people will come back with ICC, and if you consider they’ll give you again raid gear in dungeons there’s no reason to play the patch.
You’re welcome to go play The Witcher if you want a single player game. I signed up for an MMO.
You seemingly never played WotLK when it was current then.
People ran dungeons all the time, no H+ system needed
I’m glad you talked about it that way
So you’re welcome to do 10-20m raids instead of wanting to play 5m Destiny 2 content.
I did to, and this isn’t promoting a community.
Hence why in my first post I said I would be going back to FF14
I quit out of boredom after Ulduar in original Wrath.
Then your not interested in the long-term investment that goes along with an mmo. Stay away from old school runescape
The likely reason for these new mechanics is due to the fact that the classic expansions aren’t running for as long as they did back in the day. (Ulduar classic is the exception having now run longer than it did in retail) Players in general aren’t interested in running past phase content and these are a great way to preserve access to gear that would be more challenging to get post p2. I don’t know if you enjoyed running Gruul’s lair for DSTs all the way to the end of TBC, but I sure didn’t.
The way they buffed loot drops from Naxx made many people I’ve met enjoy running it.
Buffing raid loot drops from old raids work.
The only problem with Gruul is that trinket was bis for the whole expansion and that they didn’t buff the drop rate.
Maybe it’s just my server but I only ever saw Sapph/KT only runs. Those died out about a month into Ulduar.
