You can queue multiple parties at the same time and accept when they all simultaneously pop. It’s a thing. I’m surprised you’re denying this.
And it’s also true that so many Alliance pugs have given up that Horde pugs are likely to run into 2 or more sargeras or lightbringer premades that were put together coincidentally.
Adapting to newer players is a part of a game that’s progressed for over 16 years though. If you can’t do that, obviously you’re going to be at a disadvantage.
I’m 30 and yes, the younger crowd is probably a lot different, but I can vibe enough to get things done.
And finally, solo gaming isn’t intended for a massive multiplayer online game…
It certainly worked in wod, back when good PvPers did rated and randoms were considered casual content. Of course the philosophy now is that mythic raiders deserve easy PvP-free wins and casuals and levelers exist to be handed over on a silver platter to graveyard farmers who need to reach their weekly honor cap.
Well we found the blond here. Now lets reverse this if top pvpers had better gear then mythic raiders there be people complaining . So it would be okto say
Solo play. It’s not the worst thing in the world this expansion, but I’m waiting for catchups so I can level another character besides this one. I like this little fox thing but not so much I want to main it all expansion, and I am very far from “complete” even on this one and don’t feel like doing the leveling experience again unless something changes.
I’ve been playing less than I did during 8.3, part of which is RL situational, but also I was leveling alts like mad, casually and effectively. So now I have an army of 50s and it’s hard just to log into this character most days. I got out of the groove of playing around the holidays and I’ve just kind of let my sub run, mostly because I play with my brother for a few hours a week and that’s time we probably wouldn’t have otherwise.
I’ve gone from borderline no-lifeing to barely getting dailies and weeklies done. Not sure what that means, but I’m hoping something positive comes out of 9.1. Or it could be that in the future I just won’t have time for this anymore. Leveling up my relationship instead, such is life.
I didn’t PvP in WoD, but wasn’t that where everyone was scaled to the exact same thing in PvP? And it was just a matter of your PvP stats that determined a lot?
And I was just referencing being locked to 197 anywhere and everywhere that wasn’t a raid. even just out in the world, which is what he was suggesting.
The current system works well though. You can pve and PvP and get rewards to help you in both. I do wish they’d add a specific PvP stat (resilience) again though to help differentiate
Yeah no I get it, but that’s not how it is. It’s decently balanced right now.
But if you just PvP…
You get the same gear as if PvE…
If you just PvE…
You get the same gear as in PvP
You can take your PvP gear and do just as good in PvE…
And take your PvE gear and do just as good in PvP…
So sorry that you’re being rewarded for your efforts? Just because you don’t want to play the group content to get better gear doesn’t mean everyone should be locked down to your level of play
Well, I do hope the Developers can address this issue for you, but in the meantime, have you considered trying to take a break from WoW?
You could try out ESO or FFXIV, both of which seem to be more friendly towards casual or solo players. Most of your post discusses PvP and I cannot promise you that you’ll enjoy the combat system of either of those other games, but that isn’t entirely the point in trying them.
Sometimes it simply helps to take a break, to try another perspective, another community. I have no doubt you’ll come back to WoW, we all do, but who knows but by then the problem may have been addressed.
Your anecdotal experience is different from mine, weird.
Thats neither true or an argument, Multiuplayer games have nothing to do with partying, its based on Thousands of players playing in an online persistent world at the same time.
No I didn’t! You keep interpreting words I never said, respectfully reading comprehension here is necessary. Read please!
Of course experience is different. Because it’s a part of the specific communities we respectively involve ourselves with. Discord itself doesn’t just magically force people to fart into microphones. It’s not some form of mass hypnosis that makes people slurp mountain dew.
People use discord. Ordinary people. So some of them are rude, some are not. Some use the settings the system provides to minimize audio interruption, others don’t.
You’re wanting to change things, which would affect everybody, because you pay $15 and you don’t like how things are. Forget anyone else playing the game, even though they pay the same $15. So…your $15 means more than their $15
Fair, I guess it’s not barring content as opposed to barring progression. But you do go on to say:
Just so you know, RBGs are rated content, that offer conquest points, which means it offers 220 gear (or whatever the max is outside of the great vault)
You’re suggesting that mythic Raiders and arena players be locked to your 197 outside of raids and arenas, and only allowing their gear to be “good” or “full power” inside of raids. That is indeed asking to cap their gear.
Also:
Umm yeah…do more/harder content that rewards more/better gear.
I’m a solo player and there was nothing stopping me from hitting max ilvl or running 20+ Keys, or achieving AoTC last expansion.
No friends in game really, no active guild (in one for the perks), not in discord, only play a couple hours a day, only a couple days a week.
So same “disadvantages” as you, yet…I was able to progress just fine. So what’s really holding you back? An unwillingness to do content that offers proper rewards for its effort.
I don’t know you. I can’t make you out to be the bad guy.
I can only say that there is nothing fundamental about discord that forces people to do those things. Which means that it is only a matter of finding the right community. The right group of people.
Maybe look for a guild that actually has women in it. I’ve noticed that when I join a guild that has at least a handful of women in it, people tend to be less obnoxious. shrugs Just an observation.
Today is my last day for awhile… not quiting, just unsubbed until whatever version of Pathfinder becomes available.
It’s always the same story, find a guild… well there is a problem, people like me, that enjoy what I enjoy, are long gone. The game caters to this new speed rush mythic crowd now, it’s become a first person shooter, not my pc game.
Transfer server… a solution often offered, and a Blizzard favorite… problem is, since 2007, I’ve accumulated 14 toons, most leveled the old fashion way, some were free boosts from the expansions over the years. Bottomline, I’m not paying to move my toons to another server, searching for this fun people.
There was a time when I would have moved, I was more hardcore, but back then I didn’t need to move, and now this game isn’t worth moving.
Anyways… be nice people, less toxic when you can be nice…
