The Slime Cat Controversy: The Solutions

Your asking people who put 0 effort and love being handed freebies and consider that “an accomplishment”. They won’t bother, they do not care about making an effort for anything ever.

I also don’t care. But this god damn outrage is WAAAAAAAAAAY out of proportions. It’s one god damn ground locked ugly that nobody will used as soon as flying is available.

Wait! Aren’t these the same most people who are celebrating that people can’t get it in LFR? Are we toxic elitist or are we empathetic players who understand.

I can’t keep up of what raiders are anymore, argh!

Because it’s not really about the mount. It’s about the principle and how blizz treated the customers. The mount just happened to be part of the equation.

Void zones, soaking mechanics, orders, teathers, tank busters, alot more than that.

And Ultimate’s are evergreen content because you can’t unsych them. And there 20-25 min long fights. It’s an endurance fight more than anything.

2 per expansion, because of COVID we only got 1 for Shadowbringers.

Ok hypothetical, your setting up a pug raid, you have a guy in 290+ ilvl, they say they only have 45 mins. Would you invite them? Nope because they are going to leave when IRL stuff comes up in so many minutes.

The issue is you have people who can do high M+ keys because they only take 30mins to and hour to form and complete. But they cannot do normal raids because they only have 1 hour long playtime windows. They need to kill 31 bosses.

If you only needed to kill Sire/Sylvanas/Jailer then it would be far more feasible for those types of players.

I mean, it’s probably not the first time you’ve seen me on these threads. I DO want a reward for LFR. But given a choice between just ONE reward, give it to normal, otherwise they have nothing to aim towards, even though normal is much more difficult compared to LFR.

It’s just a small subset of wannabe elitists who are happy it was removed from LFR along with some trolls and the few still defending everything Blizzard does.

At least from everything I’ve seen here and elsewhere.

Not saying they dont but its poor to assume that LFR would reweard it.

Its not false advertising because it was still in testing. Blizz has the right to change anything before it gets live and even then they can still change it. WHat people dont seem to understand is its never been intended for LFR and the wording on the achievement was poorly done. but thats not legally false advertisement as things get changed day of patch all the time.

Nothing about this patch is purchased.

It was never removed from LFR. It was never intended for LFR and the wording was misleading on the achievement. Thsoe are two way different things.

That’s guising false advertisement in an user agreement. It’s still false advertisement, they just forced us to accept it to play the game.

I don’t overall disagree. It’s just a scenario where wording matters and when raid achievements are involved, normal or higher is the specific wording they’ve used for years to avoid such situations.

Actually no. The achievement specifying normal was boss specific achievement for Glory meta and last boss kill before the end of an expansion.

Any difficulty was the moniker used for kill achievements for LFR, Normal AND Heroic, until Shadowlands when heroic was giving its own distinct achievement.

Okay so Blizzard messed up the wording then ignored Wowhead(official resource the GMs direct players to and a partner of Blizzard), official forums and every other fan site and forum for 3 months before “fixing” it less than 24 hours before it went live.

That just makes it seem like they did it with intent to mislead players so sure.

Blizzard let players be misled for 3 months before “fixing” things in order to milk more players for revenue.

Fixing it implies there was something that needed fixing to begin with.

If only there was a way to make normal as flexible as LFR is. When I can queue for normal, I’ll be happy.

Until then, being guaranteed a spot in a semi-reasonable amount of time while I am free to do other stuff while being free from the asinine requirements is too valuable to pass up

I hadn’t heard a peep about this supposed mistake until Kaivax’s post that started this whole thing. Is it farfetched to think they might have missed it too?

Yes

Make a streamlined way to pick up and use a mic, make a que like raid finder who cares, keep the difficulty the same as normal. Imo it would work just fine. To add, make a community leader spot for these raids to exist in the que, so 2 of them have to come along and guide the raid.

Then have at it I guess. But I’ll be extremely surprised if they go back on it.

Its not false advertisement. People looked at the wording of an achievment and assumed. Blizz never stated it was intended for LFR.
