I know a solution to break sync premade’s. Ban them from the game. Problem solved.

Good luck with proving it and even detecting it to begin with. That also requires a lot of man power to detect, review and enforce.

Fractalized queues solves the entire problem.

Don’t need to they openly do it and brag about it. They even stream them doing it.

You could probably write a program that analyzes Blizzard’s logs.

You’d look for a set of players who end up on the same team far more frequently than normal. Other identifying characteristics include queuing up at the same time, missing queue pops or dropping queues around the same time, and then requeuing at the same time again.

At some point, it’s very unlikely to be coincidence.

Or you can just fractalize the queues. Lowest effort and highest rewards solution.

Won’t that increase queue times for everyone?

During offpeak hours, queues might not even pop anymore because you don’t have enough players to fill multiple instances.

In theory, it would increase queue times, since you’d have to wait for all N epic bg’s to pop at once.

In practice, lots of players would return and queue epics, so they’d fill faster.

This was the same argument made about 3v3 and 4v4 premades in Starcraft 2.

Blizzard eventually made it so premades were matched with other premades at a higher rate than against pubs. Initially the queues were longer, but as more people learned about it, more people started solo queuing 3v3 and 4v4 again, and now the queues time are 1 minute tops instead of 10+ minutes like they used to be.

In other words, queues are really long right now because no one wants to queue into premades. If it worked for Starcraft 2 it will work for WoW too.

In fact, a lot of games could learn from Starcraft 2’s turnaround.

they aren’t though, 5-10 minutes is short compared to BfA or SL. i waited 3 hours one time in bfa to play a 4 minute wintergrasp.

You were Horde back then though. That’s why you had the longer queues, and you guys had merc to compensate. Now it’s turned over to Alliance.

I do agree with you though that Alliance epic queues are fairly short now.

How about this, plus cross faction. Which would pretty much solve the queue time issue.

To clarify, the queue time issue primarily impacts on non prime time hours.

It is social, go do rated. We don’t need 30-40 people exploiting to get in the same game in voice comms to stomp a pug with zero coordination.
