The Scarlet Crusade: ITS SO OVER versus WE'RE SO BACK

Perhaps we will meet this secret menethil heir they claim they have? :eyes:

I mean itā€™s been YEARS since the scarlet crusade has been exposed for having literal dreadlords masterminding them to being full of crazed fanatics. Anyone still in that organization after all that rep knows what they are in for.

Correct me if iā€™m wrong but I believe that turned out to be a dreadlord.

Edit: A second dreadlord, rather.

The dead have no claim to anything

Presumably there are humans that fled and would like their city to not be claimed by literal undead abominations.

I do not think they have done anything with the things from the scarlet brotherhood pamphlets, have they?

Admittedly most of scarlet Lore hasnā€™t been touched on in decades.

We have literally only had one confirmation of the remains of the 11 heroes and it was a legion artifact for Ivor the one armed.

Thereā€™s a lot of potential there for the Argent crusade to basically force the scarlets to bend the knee by going and securing the remains of their heroes. But I donā€™t think modern blizzard has a writing team capable of more nuance than ā€œchurch badā€.

yeah theyā€™re called the scarlet crusade and we kill the bastards constantly

Or gods forbid: Calia securing legitimacy of her claim by fulfilling the Scarlets holy quest with NOT REANIMATING THE ELEVEN CHAMPIONS.

Yeah im a hopeless scarlet romantic.

That was manipulation. They arenā€™t a cult that worships Dreadlords in secrecy.

And, to be honest, what happened to the SC, in general, is simply more of that classic bad writting regarding the Alliance. I mean, writters managed to turn the few living survivors left in Lordaeron into ā€œgenocidal fascistsā€ only so the Forsaken could justify exterminating all the living in the region.

Itā€™s certainly made them into a really nonsensical faction, Which is why iā€™m hoping for some sort of redemption for them. Hell the scarlet role playing player base has been in a Civil War for the past 15 years over schisms of faith and teachings.
The actual faction may as well be too.

This MF is really trying to get us on a technicality.

Imma just say, if your side is generally accepting of zealots, then you prooooobably arenā€™t actually on ā€œthe good side.ā€

The Lightforged and Turalyon definitely have my ā€œfascistā€ radar tingling a little, but afaik they havenā€™t ever completely gone off the rails like the Scarlet Crusade did in the lore. I kinda doubt weā€™ll ever see the Scarlets portrayed in a positive light (haha) to the point that theyā€™d be embraced by the Alliance.

Im sorry you feel that way.
Iā€™m also genuinely sorry you canā€™t put yourself in a position of seeing your country all but taken away from you by a ravenous hordes of the undead and not having strong convictions against them.

Let alone all the political theater of the forsaken to claim your homeland.

It might be a good time to start learning the difference between fiction and reality as well as immersion In a fantasy setting without drawing from real life parallels.

I for one find the idea of fighting for a shattered kingdom in the hopes of reclaiming it incredibly romantic.

I donā€™t feel like anything I said there was too earth shattering but here we goā€¦

The Argent Dawnā€™s original founders were literally other Silver Hand paladins that said ā€œyā€™all are seriously crazy and are taking this way too farā€ to the paladins that would become the Scarlet Crusade, and then they split into two factions. So the Scarlets are, and always have been, considered fanatical and corrupt in the game itself, even by other living Lordaeronians.

Yeah, I can tell. That is indeed a very romanticized view of what the Scarlet Crusade is.

This right here.

Undeads werenā€™t just random raised dead people. Some of the Undead came from there when they were living, killed and then got raised as such.

Itā€™s the living that have been trying to push us out since then.

I see it as things can be worke out one way or another. Let us keep the Undercity portion and let the living have the rest of Lordaeron and everyone go about their day to day.

Or we can back track and forget about working on cleaning up the remants of the plague and launch a new one which really in the end ,does nothing for anyone at the end of the day.

I am very certain there will be quite a few here who disagree with me on that.

But if we work together and keep one section for the Undead and other for the living, that could work for everyone in the end.

Or, let us have have Howling Fjord.

I still think that if Night Elves are going to be relocating to the Dragon Isles, then Forsaken can go shack up in Maldraxxus. Itā€™s perfect there for them! Itā€™s green and slimy there, theyā€™re used to that! And the denizens there are all about mucking up someone elseā€™s home, which is another favorite pass time of the Forsaken. And best of all, itā€™s in the after life where they belong!

You donā€™t know what my fave past times are.

I wasnā€™t there for the buring of that tree, so I had no party to that.

I mean Iā€™m not overly fond of Night Elves but thatā€™s no reason in my book to burn a tree.

I would much rather run around collecting more outfits and shiney baubles than drop plagues.

Iā€™d hapily take Maldraxxus as well but thatā€™s more because itā€™s a fitting asthetic and I have no need to play with plagues but, you can bet Iā€™m stil going to traverse all of Azeroth in search of new clothes and shiney baubles.

Maldraxxus is the afterlife so it likely wouldnā€™t be there since they are UNdead not dead.

I spend most of my time on a Worgen Druid, I know what yā€™alls favorite past times are, the chip on my shoulder goes back way before that tree. In fact, I started this game clear back in '06 on a PVP server, so donā€™t try to sugar coat favorite past times here.

Which Iā€™m sure is well known as a curse, putting the victim in an unnatural state of being. Thereā€™s a cure for that. Which isnā€™t all bad since weā€™re all pals with the Arbiter now.

Thereā€™s plenty of folks here throwing out ideas they know full well wonā€™t ever happen. Doesnā€™t mean I canā€™t like the idea. I stand by my original remarks.

Actually you donā€™t . You are trying to lump all of us into the same grouping that did those things.

There are plenty of us like myself that did not partake in those events so I wil be judgy too since thatā€™s what humans do best anyway.

I could also make assumptions about every single Blood Elf in the game that they are nothing more but elves with a really bad magic addiction and they all side with Kael but I donā€™t.

And letā€™s not forget to include that your King Varian allowed direct orders to have human refugess killed early in Cata if they refused to work.

Also better yet having Greymane watching over Anduin and not being able to prevent Anduin being kited off in front of him.

I mean really??? He really should have been guarding him alot better than that and now look at the Anduin that came out of that. He might as well go set up a home with a certain Bloodhoof who sat and pouted on the floor for over half of of Shadowlands at this point.

Youā€™d figure after loosing Varian you all could have done better protecting your next in line for the throne but you didnā€™t ā€¦

So are we done with making assumptions about races as a whole or are done yet LMAO
