"The Scarlet Crusade is no more..."

Blizzard should add a breakable Xe’ra toy in the game.

Since they are going to embrace cross faction play, I think the scarlet brotherhood should be a faction that alliance characters can build reputation with, but it will just be a vehicle for Light villainy.

Shard of Xe’ra should just be a dagger with 1 durability.

They claim they have the son of Deathwing as a legitimate heir of Lordaeron… they are Twilight Culists at this point.

If they are brought back as a neutral faction it would be in a Light vs Void expansion and they would be on the void side recruiting Void paladins.

I would actually like to see that as the opposite faction to the Silver Hand, personally.

Is that the chosen one narrative they are embracing? Er… ok, I guess.

I just love Sylvas sass. And I am going to miss the dynamic between her and Genn. It’s was easily the best rivalry in game

I hope beyond reason, that the overworld gets some intelligent design and narrative attention.

More neutral factions, IMO are not good for that, especially if the instanced 83% of the game is cross faction.

I feel like crossfaction play is setting up the Light vs Void expansion, allowing us to intermingle based on choice. Like the Aldor/Scryers but on a large scale.

In a Light vs Void expansion Horde and Alliance won’t conceptually exist for that expansion, except for PVP.

Can you imagine if they somehow made the Void “good” and the Light “bad” people would lose thier minds.

Im afraid it’s not even that relevant to the overworld. And why should it be? The overworld has been relatively irrelevant.

One of the things that is sitting on my mind right now is how much we all hate the idea of a mechanical universe.

Re-contextualized, the Old Gods are higher beings who “gifted” us flesh and tenacity and gave us free will to fight our mechanical overlords to escape the Matrix.

Reason, to choose the Void.

It’s kind of ironic that the void cares more about our well being than any other cosmic force. They’re always warning us of future threats, but we dismiss them as insane ramblings

Exactly!

N’Zoth wanted us and Sylvanas to win, to defeat Zorvaal. It all makes sense when you think about it.

Good guy N’Zoth is legit a thing. I can’t wait for this plot to move forward. I’m Void all the way babey. (Except on this paladin, because she’s Light aligned)

I do love that, and I like those prophecies, at least as a rationalization in the mind of the cultists.

Well, you have to remember that the Void sees all futures as true and that’s why they try to warn us of potential threats.

I was Cult of Forgotten Shadow all the way, but its gotten kind of messy. And I wont lie… the possible non-evil void is pulling me in different directions.

And Knaifu could be an acceptable Sylvanas rebound, with an (in)appropriate new model.

Knaifu is bae, the only acceptable replacement. She did say we will see her again… in the Light vs Void expansion probably. Now that Dragon Iles has a leak name what should the Light vs Void expansion be named?

The Hour of Twilight?

End Time?

Not sure, but if there is a light vs void expansion, think blizz will bring back the Old Gods or make new ones?

Void Lords? Idk. The statue in Korthia doing the whisper thing is as close as I want to get to the void lords. Id prefer something like “the Old gods cant actually be killed without completely wiping the planet.” Let the Titans be right about that one thing.

Didn’t take you long to resort to personal attacks and misrepresenting your opponents again. :roll_eyes: I never said Xe’ra was a feminist icon nor was I talking about her actions towards Illidan. You think Xe’ra’s not a female character? And no true scotsman wear’s a kilt, eh? Xe’ra is clearly presented as female, she;

  • Is explicitly referred to as female and “she/her”.
  • One of her titles is “Light Mother” and she has offspring.
  • Has a feminine voice and her voice actor is a woman.

Typical ideologue; denying someone from a group you claim to champion isn’t part of that group because you don’t like them.

Drop the passive aggressive approach. Merely calling me wrong doesn’t make it so, and I have more to say.

I think you lot (Cursewords, Renautus, Drahliana and Micah) are employing cognitive dissonance to ignore Blizzard’s issues in writing female characters as they apply to Xe’ra.

I appreciate your understanding of part of my position on this story turn. Also, I only take attacks on my real-life faith as personal attacks (and Renautus, for one, has made plenty). There’s a difference between making “two sides to every story” or “some are less bad than others”-type statements and defending religious zealotry, and Renautus either can’t see that or refuses to.

Only if we also get an “Illidan: Champion of the Light” skin in Heroes of the Storm. Illidan lightforged (World of Warcraft Cinematic/Machinima) - YouTube

By the way, will you delete that comment too, as you have others?

Would you actually consider the facts and points I raise on such a thread… or would you ignore it (as you ignored how I showed Xe’ra is a female character literally sacrificed to give a male character “cool points”) or respond with insults or snark?
