Just saying it’s cool they give you an option to do it, and I’m thankful for it. In other games (mostly the South Korean and Japanese types - Ragnarok, Space Cowboy, Flyff, even Destiny) it’s actually hard to find people to raid with, there isn’t any matchmaking system, and the raid is the only way to get gear or slot items with special properties.

Is there any information on how many charges we will get first week for doing the quest or are we stuck at 1 a week no matter what even though the Shadowlands version opened with multiple charges already so a fresh toon could make a full set of tier? Reason I ask is because there are a lot of people that have had horrible luck and only gotten 1 maybe 2pc due to rng of rolls and rng of vault rewards so far and if we only get 1 then that kind of screws those people who were hoping it would be like SL’s version that would let them get their 4pc with release of it.
Side note, I know it says wow classic, it won’t let me change to my live account that has 4 70s for the forums for some reason.

So I was on the PTR checking out the new Catalyst in Tyrhold. I put in 1 of my Wpvp (not Conquest) item, and even though it let you convert to a tier piece, but it did not say ilvl incrased to 421 in pvp. But if I put in a Conquest Chest item, it does say increased ilvl to 424 in pvp. Is this intended? Anyone noticed this?
I got my tier set as soon as tier came out. Got 3 piece the first week and 4th the next week.

You are making this big of a deal out of having to do a quest to get handed set piece gear and trying to run your mouth because somebody hasn’t killed heroic Raz? Maybe if you weren’t such a miserable cry baby then people would want you in their guild and you could get raid loot.

My dude I’m casual AF and raids are easy it took me 2 weeks to get my 4 piece.
I don’t know why you guys are all “YOU WANT TO BE HANDED GEAR FOR FREE!”, meanwhile you are ignoring that raiding is still free gear. The hardest part is getting a group of people together.

Hi, why is there a cap of 6? What is the reason for this? People should be able to get tier on low ilvl alts if they want it, and then use the catalyst to get tier again if they earned that.
I assume because of the fact by the time Dragonflight launched I had something like 96 charges on the Shadowlands Catalyst on every character.
I’m more annoyed we have to do group content to earn charges this time instead of just automatically accumulating, personally.
Blizzard said it’s meant to be Alt Catchup, Bad Luck Protection, and a way for Open World Players to get Tier.
But… 2 of those 3 types of players don’t do group content, which is quite literally why they don’t have tier.

I never said it was bad or good. I do not feel angry or entitled because someone got a tier set on week 2. I’m actually happy for them and they get to carry me until I get mine.
People claim they are at a competitive disadvantage. What exactly are you competing for?
Sure, bad RNG sucks and feels bad. No one likes it. However, Blizzard has tried to address this with Bonus Roll tokens, the Great Vault, and the Conversion Catalyst. Even with these, people complain and act like it’s a personal attack on them.
Not my problem that some players think only instances content matters the world matters as well it’s in the name World of Warcraft NOT World of instances only craft.
I never said the world doesn’t matter. I love fishing and lunker parties, and the Pokemon snap, and especially dragon racing. Lots of fun to be had!
But WOW is the only MMO I’ve played that lets you get raid gear without doing the raid. And people are complaining that they didn’t get it sooner in a season. It’s just a little funny.
I’m sure there’s plenty of things that are your problem, you don’t have to add me to the list 
If you want to use such ridiculous “logic” and resort to hyperbole then all gear is free so we may as well just get it in the mail at the start of the xpac!
I’m 5/8H just from doing pugs. I know raids CAN BE easy. I’ve also been in raids that couldn’t do it, so it’s not that easy for some people apparently.
There’s a big difference between bringing a raid together and beating an encounter and winning a piece of loot vs just doing a simple quest for it. I’m fine with the catalyst gear, but the whiners that think doing a quest is too hard are annoying and entitled. People need to just appreciate they can get set pieces without ever stepping foot into a raid and stop expecting to be handed everything without playing the part of the game that tier set gear is SUPPOSED to come from. But nah, it’s 2023 so everybody thinks they are entitled to whatever they want if they complain enough.

Because they cant gatekeep and feel special. And its never actually world first players that care about any of this. Its the 5/8 H guy that flames people in his +12 key that needs to feel special. I would guess its his mommy issues or something.

I don’t feel special at all for killing 5 heroic raid bosses. I am accomplished enough in my life that I don’t play this game to feel special. The raid bosses were super easy, which is exactly why you should stop crying about not getting all the raid loot handed to you.
