it literally just sounds like you don’t immune stuns and u play with bad healers
It’s just like arms warrior. You have to make every skill play or you can’t compete. Problem is you have the tools you need to climb you’re just not good at using them correctly. The skill cap is too high for most people. Take away the stuff that makes the insane DH’s unstoppable rn and give them a defensive buff
You can’t make them unkillable and have no skill plays, that’s broken
It’s not about immuning stuns. I do immune stuns. You don’t even die that much in a stun anymore as Havoc.
You die from raw PvE damage because you have nothing decent to trade.
BM hunter is one of the most popular specs currently in all forms of Arena.
Here is how this matchup goes:
- You pop Meta, stun, burst the guy - Hunter pops 1 of his walls - Might pop another wall after, might get a healer CD - Can feign death your timed Essence Break / Hunt etc - Roar of sacrifice also soaks a lot of your damage - Your meta ends and the Hunter successfully soaked most of your damage - During Call of the Wild / Beastial Wrath you popped Blur to avoid the Hunter’s Burst damage - Now you have no Blur, so you are plastic, and you aren’t in Meta anymore, so you do 0 damage - What are your options now?
A) Keep going in and give your healer a heart attack because he is also dealing with hunter CC or hunter’s teammates’ CC B) Run away and die to pets anyway C) Press Darkness high, get very low cause of bad RNG anyway and stand still while the hunter gets 50 yards away from you
By this point Blur is probably still 20-30 seconds away from being back
This is the literal problem of Havoc and this is how matchups against most DPS work, you have nothing good to trade
Unfortunately neither seems to go well this season at all
So I have mentally given up for the most part. I will never say I am the best player of this class, but I have multiple gladiators with it in SL and DF and been playing it for 5 years. It’s just really frustrating to play currently and this season I have achieved higher ratings on Destro lock, Windwalker and Mistweaver.
I play with an Rsham, like 2k mmr and it’s not great because every feral, fury, and BM can just train him and we’re stuck but I’m still positive win rate mainly because it’s like you said “incapping healer and exterminating someone here”
Literally them lasso’ing so I don’t have to feleruption my eyebeam saves me the GCD to usually global someone if I’ve got green buff.
I mean, just line the hunter until you have stun DR back up. Pets themselves do next to no damage. You’ll literally heal yourself more than you take in auto attack damage if the hunter isnt also shooting you.
Good thing you have 4 burst windows between eye beam, essence break, meta, and hunt to time around that; as well as two stuns!
Good! That stops almost ALL hunter damage! AND you have chaos nova to stun pets with hunter.
So why are you attacking a guy who has damage and you dont have defensives? This is something that EVERY class has to deal with, man.
It sounds like you’re complaining that you have to actually play around other classes instead of just pressing W.
Yes, thats the point of every single melee class outside of Rogue and Feral.
I am not talking about running for a few moments because your healer is CC-ed - because that is what other classes do.
Because those classes have dot damage and 5 second stuns / infinite restuns for their “gos”.
Not some crap 3 second Fel Eruption into air.
Go open up a stream of some Multi R1 Windwalker, Warrior, DK, Outlaw, Ret any melee you name it. Tell me how much time they spent lining damage / running away, especially during their burst CDs.
The answer is very little to none. Burst cds = big defensive #1, small defensive #2, 3, 4 etc.
You can’t do that on Havoc. You just trade blur then run or die. Blur wasn’t enough? Trade Darkness or Nether on top of it, then be completely naked for the entire next minute.
Healer takes a CC chain? Yes, you die.
You guys can continue to think it’s a skill issue - open up checkpvp or drustvar. Compare the number of Havoc above 2400 in any Arena bracket vs any other melee spec. Surely somebody will write something like “but uh Enha is less in SOME brackets, FDK in SOME brackets”. Yeah. If you’re at the bottom of the garbage pack, you’re still in the garbage pack.
Not more than 5 people in the entire region will get Gladiator on DH this season… Mvq himself was mad at Hpal nerfs because he said himself it’s the only class that can keep Havoc alive
