I doubt that number of CE boosts saw anything noticeable change.
Those are the primary boosts that are RMT’d. Maybe non-RMT boosts like 30k for a +15 went away but those are out of scope for this conversation.
All Blizzard did was ensure they could track the RMT’d money and verify it wasn’t being exchanged out of game by any means other than WoW tokens.

You seem to miss the point. Any gold sink increases RMT. It is not practical to say we should shut down all gold sinks in WoW - and let’s be real if gold went away and there was a barter economy that currency would get RMT’d too.
If we all agree that we can’t simply get rid of gold or gold sinks, then you need to come up with a different argument for why, specifically, GDKP is an exception that ought to be banned.

I beg of you. Can we agree that the root of your problem with GDKP’s is RMT and GDKP’s do in fact INCREASE RMT? Okay great. So can we agree that if you ban GDKP’s RMT is still existent and an issue? Okay great. So can we agree that if we ban RMT and bots there would be no issue with GDKP’s?
