I haven’t put in the time to master lock yet by any means, but this opinion is shared by many lock mains who are great at the game.

When I play lock, I know I will be the focus target, especially when every content creator who makes a “priority kill tier list” puts lock at the top tier. It’s not fun being trained in general, even if you can do something about it.

The real reason for the ranged meta:

  • Holy paladin top healer - complete anti-melee healer. 2x Immunities to melee damage and 2x immunities to slows, therefore allowing ranged to kite and deny the melee uptime

  • Mage - full antimelee

  • Devoker - full antimelee

  • BM hunter - do damage no matter what

Super simple

Explain how a spec such as Windwalker or Warrior is supposed to hit a ranged spec that is always immune to slows, gets immunities, has knockbacks, roots, disorients and more.

You don’t. You get 2-3 globals during a stun. The rest of the entire game is chasing and getting denied. You decide to hit somebody else - the ranged spec stops kiting and starts causing even more problems. You lose.

That was in response to the dude telling me to get good and you’ll climb. Then he edited to make it a more general statement. Believe me I’m not holding shuffle or rating on a pedestal. A lot of it is lobby/partner dependent in any mode tbh.

I played RSS in the Ruins of Lordaeron against Windwalker, Fury, Unholy.

Did not manage to cast a single CB meaning I couldn’t burst at all.

Could you tell me how do I create a distance in scenarios like this one ?
