It’s the self-sustain and defensives being gutted. Most melee who were somewhat durable before are now paper when the healer is cc’ed (minus feral, they are just special).
I knew the changes would have an impact, but it’s become glaringly obvious that it’s a negative one for the pvp meta and comps.
It is pretty funny how this forum loves to complain way more when ranged are stronger vs when melee are stronger, I guess that’s the result when the majority of its posters are Warrior mains (not saying you are one, just that most people here are).
On a side note, I’d prefer they’d cut down mobility across the board instead of defensives so that casters are rewarded for casting instead of needing to be based around instant casts to succeed and melee are rewarded for proper mobility management with giant damage when they do connect.
Couldn’t agree more here. It’s an absolute shame that the casting meta has become things like ice lance spam because you’ll pretty much never get a glacial spike off.
Chaos bolt is a nightmare to use outside of precog windows. Hard casting lava burst basically never happens.
Seems like everyone got more of everything. Seems like more of an issues of slows and mobility/outs. Hard to connect and when you do there is almost always a counter.
Speaking from a melee vantage point, a lot of it is just how difficult it is to stay on a lot of ranged specs and how annoying the game has gotten. Pair a ranged with a rogue and most melee aren’t touching any range for long. Like playing into assas mage or boomi is a complete nightmare on my enhance. Ignoring how strong or weak anything is, it’s just not fun.
Yea, I want that as well. Makes me think the game is too far gone though. Current dev teams seems lost.
i watched my homie stream 2.4(SS) on 2 destro locks it did have bad matchups but its mostly just BM hunters he struggled versus atleast from my pov watching
