The real path pathfinder reveals

The only path the pathfinder “achievement” has revealed to me, and subsequently many others, is the path to new games with less time gating and time wasting mechanics also to pad time played metrics. Thank you blizzard for opening my eyes

Give it a rest.

If you’re not willing to invest time, MMORPGs aren’t for you. However, I do think outdated expansion flying should be purchaseable without the achievement, or mount.

You’re still here so obviously not.

Why do people confuse investment of time with some how enjoying an MMO or a game. If the investment of time is enjoyable then it doesn’t matter the genre

If you’re paying for WoW and care so little for the actual gameplay that you’re willing to leave over not having flight right away – something many other MMOs don’t even have – then I’m really unsure why you’ve been subbed to WoW to begin with.

Flight isn’t content. It’s a convenience. I understand liking it, but don’t understand being so worked up over it than it causes you to quit on it’s own.

It’s almost as if people don’t like earning these really cool mounts that are advertised to gasp fly (in some cases paying for them on the store) and then having said mounts suffer severe brain trauma at the start of every expansion and have to wait a year before they’re able to fly again.

I unlocked it on one character and now all of my leveling alts can use it. Works for me.

Running around on the ground isn’t content Or game play either there for the medium of transportation is irrelevant and flight should just be there anyway. Stop confusing the fact that it takes longer to get too and from a quest with some some how that content has more depth.

Are you telling me you play WoW just to collect flying mounts?

No, I’m telling you it’s annoying that said mounts are advertised to do something, but that ability gets taken away for almost a year of playtime.

People who have real life obligations often consider how much progress they’d be able to make within a certain timeframe, and progress is what some, not all, people enjoy the most. I know what you’re saying though, i’m ready for you to send my tax dollars back.

I never said walking was content either. Transportation isn’t content. Which is why it’s absurd that people quit over not having flight right away.

Between the flightmaster’s whistle, flight paths, and ground mounts, it doesn’t take much longer to get around without flight anyway.

Yes and I’m not arguing that pathfinder / delayed flight isn’t annoying. Because it is. I’m just arguing that it’s a very weird extreme to jump to unsubbing over.

Pathfinder made me feel the path to fun is wpvp and seeing other people in an mmo

It’s not I Absurd at all. If I have a combined 5 hours a week to play and you want to waste half my time by removing flight and forcing me to grind content I don’t want to play instead of being able to get it done playing what I want, ie when I could grind rep via dungeons, the. Don’t be surprised when people claim the design path sucks

I would agree it’s not something worth unsubbing over, save in cases where it’s extreme, like when it got removed entirely in WoD. And I do think there is an argument to be made about unsubbing until it’s fully available.

Let’s not pretend it’s anywhere close to half your time.

I will say that I don’t like the heavy focus on world questing in modern WoW. It’s boring. Which is why I just opt to not do it, because I don’t want to. You’re not “forced to grind content you don’t want to play”.

If I want to earn flying and find rep grinds boring and something I don’t want to do then I kinda am forced to do it. I just finished the fish face rep, repeated boring world quests I had no interest in whatsoever except for the achiev toward flying. Now to finish rustbolt. Same deal for me. No interest in being there for any other reason. Sucking it up to get it done but my game time has been spent on this instead of doing things I do enjoy.
