Wasn’t it you who said that when people accuse others they’re projecting?
I’ll stop you right there. We have evidence you’re mad, ie, you blocked me in game over a forum spat.
Dude takes his forum slapfights serious businessly.
So it’s “angry” to save time by blocking someone who already said they won’t take you because of your class, but not because you think you’ll lose the key? Sounds like sound logic. Not mad, just efficient, like you. Given your previous comments on projection, it looks like you’re angry too and pulling at straws to accuse me of being angry.
You’re only cutting off half my quote cuz you’re triggered. You know i made you mad.
Then M+ wins out over raiding, due to it being spammable.
Sorry but not sorry, it will be impossible to properly balance them without making them feel forced for one another unless they are not fully usable in the other form of content.
Not really lol. The status quo would continue. M+ did not save the game lol. That is only ego talking here!
M+ wins out because it’s more fun for a quick run through. That’s a given though. Artificially keeping it down only serves to lessen people’s interest in WoW.
It’s 2022, raid or die is so old at this point, its grandchildren had children.
Just because you lack imagination doesn’t mean everyone does.
I’ve given multiple ways of doing exactly that, balancing M+ and Mythic raids. Hint : it starts with Valor upgrades and capped valor.
Fun is subjective. There is allot of people who hates M+ and would rather never touch it.
Not keeping it down really, if you like M+, you get gear to grow in power in M+ still, it just don’t effect raiders to the point where you need to get gear in M+ to be able to raid.
I never cared for that saying, if I didn’t raid or do world content I pvped. if raiding was boring to me I pvped. I never seen the game as raid or die. I also do not expect a pvper, one of the 3 pillars to compete equally in a raid as a raider, another pillar. if M+ is to be seen as it’s own pillar, it should be treated like the other 2.
I’m telling you the truth. unless raids become spammable, the gearing will never be properly balanced.
Valor doesn’t fix it, history can prove that well. If you have a point system, players will naturally gravitate to the source that is farmable and avoid the source that is not. This is doubly true if that source has equal gear to the non-farmable one.
And objectively through participation we can see what people subjectively find more fun : M+.
No, you hit a massive ceiling. The problem with M+ is the high end rewards to keep pushing above and beyond just aren’t there, funneling all top M+ players into Mythic raiding.
Yet it’s the very basis of your entire argument.
No, you lack imagination on how to unlock Mythic raid level rewards in M+ while retaining the spammable aspect.
History actually proves that valor does fix that. Heroic raids have been relevant all expansion because S1-S3, Valor was hard capped and it took quite a while for it to allow a full set of heroic raid gear to be acquired from M+, much longer than simply raiding Heroic for anyone who was there day 1.
You’re too tunneled on S4’s uncapped valor to acknowledge this though, yet it’s the cold, hard, objective truth.
These guys don’t get this. I personally think M+ alienated a lot of people from the game.
Look at the popularity of Classic the last several years, no M+ there and that version is bustling with players.
You’d personally be wrong though.
We have the data.
Dead servers galore.
M+ is single handedly keeping the lights on right now for retail WoW.
The reason people are enjoying classic and m+ is the accessibility. You can reasonably pug most raids in classic, which makes the accessibility leaps and bounds ahead of retail.
as i see only 3 things can bring back raiding to a good state
- give 2 loots per 5 people per boss (same as m+)
- make 10-20 flexible mythic raiding a thing
- give raiding gear and m+ gear the same treatment as pvp gear, they escalate while inside their content (that way even we can get some crazy and fun bonuses without being the must for other content)
No, this is bad. This would actually make the game completely unfun.
People didn’t like Shards of Domination because of this, in part.
I feel like gear makes a huge difference even if you are good. If you have the right gear, you’re even loads better. It is a massive boost.
That’s not just in mythic raiding, its literally everywhere. You can either be all inclusive or get picky/elitist. Its choosing to really play for having fun or playing to get loot and get the job done, really. I prefer the former than the latter guilds because pixel loot is great but what’s the point of getting it if you have no friends to play with or be happy with?
Its like this one guy I saw sitting with the Shackled Urzhul he just got today to flex with by the Orgrimmar mailbox. I guess he has no friends to show it off to so he can only try to fish for compliments from strangers outside the bank lol Point is that when you get stuff done, its more meaningful if you have friends enjoying it with you than you have pushing whatever m+ io, whatever pvp rating or whatever m+ raiding boss. Rather than just going and doing it on your own, yeah you did it. But who cares? No one. Atleast personally, I found it much more fulfilling doing it with friends. Even if they are not as good as me, its fine.
This is one of my beefs. Fighting a boss without the mods is like going in blindfolded. Naturally, I dont like using mods lol
I mean, its only because Classic is optional. Look at the bunch of threads (although its only the forums)… all those people complaining about never going back to classic after getting their mount.
M+ is optional too. Unless you need M+ gear to have an edge in whatever raiding content you’re doing. Then its more like being lucky even to have that edge. Remember, back in the day when you started raiding with like the quest level gear and heroic dungeon stuff. None of that was better than the raiding content. This allows a lot of less skilled players (today) who are willing to grind and put in the effort by getting the m+ gear to more or less be relevant. Which means more people are being able to raid. If you take this away from them, how many players will you still have being able to raid with gear that isn’t as good or better from the content that they are doing it in? Its definitely going to be less than what its currently at.
I also like this because if my friends are not good enough, I can just help them gear up in m+ and then we can raid heroics or whatever and they don’t get pointed at this way because gear does some of the carrying too. Of-course, its different for those who are skilled enough to use the last patch gear and still pull their weight. They can cry and scream about not wanting to do m+ all they want because they only enjoy raiding. And, that’s fine. However, m+ loot options do help out a lot of less skilled players who would otherwise have no business being in whatever difficulty of raids it is that they’re doing.
So raid gear shouldnt be usable or have its ilvl dropped outside of raids? Why should someone that raids have an advantage in pvp or m+ over anyone else?
The best loot still comes from mythic raiding, the m+ vault offers an equal ilvl of a lower mythic boss once per week.
This statement doesnt hold weight - at the start of a season valor is capped. Yes gear aquisition is unlimited - at a lower than heroic raiding ilvl - but to upgrade it to be equal to mythic raid loot takes months.
I really feel you have an issue with the current uncapped valor m+ meaning full 298 within the first 2 weeks - remember this is a mid season buff they intended to be fun and nothing like a usualy season.
Raid scene is dying because raiding has become convoluted. Raid structure was better in bc and wrath. Quick 1-2 boss beginner raids. A longer raid but the trash these days is just unbarable.
More trash, more trash, more trash. 4 difficulties, blah blah blah.
Yes, I usually outdps Arms Warriors and Outlaw Rogues in M+ but the moment they get that Gavel/Edge respectively they skyrocket the meters. People underestimate the importance gear and believe they’re just mere stat sticks in retail.
Fun you say? Hopefully they can keep that in mind going into DF.
okay buddy, keep telling yourself this lol.
You can go through Blackwing Lair right now and see the mountains of trash it has. Nostalgia has really placed an effect over peoples’ brains.
So I’ll never get the Classic did it better arguments.
