The pvp balance cyle and why we need change

After this week it should be painfully clear that something needs to change. I doubt it will because they have been neglecting this mini game for a decade but if pvp is to survive something needs to change.

Typical patch cycle :

play average/below spec
people only want to play with fotm/S tier comps
can’t get ques besides solo shuffle
hey my class is getting buffed! woohoo! finally I can have some fun.
patch day everyone rerolls your class
still can’t find anyone to play with because now your spec is flooding lfg
even if you find a group, play against players that have been on the same team for a decade
only this patch, they all rerolled your spec and whatever else is S tier at the time

For the average player (and even dedicated non-rank1/blizzcon players) this is literally not worth logging on to go through. It’s not fun at all. Not even including the problem with attaining new players / converting pve players because of the barrier to entry.

There’s lots of different approaches you could take to address this. But for me personally? I want duo/trio que rbgs. I never want to play 2s or 3s again. Solo shuffle is cool but I want to play with friends. Regular rbgs have a huge barrier to entry, lfg is dead, and you really need a guild like setting with active players to get games (especially with players that are a similar skill level to yourself) and there is no way to prove yourself to get into better groups except solo shuffle rating.

BGs need a lot of attention as well. Get rid of the knock meta maps. Make new maps. Balance flag carrier specs better somehow, or reduce ctf maps.

and where are the rewards for healing solo shuffle? It’s beyond ridiculous after months and months of this. You can spend all day healing solo shuffle and don’t even get enough gold for an enchant. It’s ridiculous.

Anyway. I’m not logging on anymore. I thought blizz was turning a new leaf with dragonflight but it’s the same ol’ bait and switch.
