threw the blade in the light went through the npc interaction the blade was there in the light turned my head to answer a question and looked back sword was gone and nothing in my bags should i just park the toon where its at and wait for customer service

The scene that plays out when you throw the blade lasts for over a minute. The blade will disappear/reappear and then be lootable.
If that didn’t happen, you should be able to abandon the quest and return to Halduron Brightwing to pick the quest up again.
Even if you needed to submit a ticket, no, should not wait there for a Game Master. You being there, or even in-game, wouldn’t make any difference in what our staff would be able to do.
In this case though, just abandon and retake the quest.

Glad to hear it.
As you may have noticed here, some quests provide the item you need during the quest. You already had it when you turned in the previous quest, so the next quest provides the item, there is usually an exchange that you don’t notice as you are turning it in.

Same happened to me last night and had to open a ticked for it. I didn’t wanted to abandon the quest because I thought I will lose the quest line. It’s 100% okay to abandon/retake the quest? I’m so scare to loose it (This is my first time getting this sword btw the excitement is huge)

A Game Master will tell you to do the same thing.
Yes, as I noted previously you can abandon The Purification of Quel’Delar and pick it up again from Halduron Brightwing.

Are you an admin or someone that can help me with this. I have been trying now for 6 or 7 hours?
Have you tried to do a full and proper UI reset to make sure it’s not something borked out that is preventing you from picking it up? It’s not just turning off your add-ons.
This forum is one for players to assist other players. While yes, you see our SFAs (the only Blues you’ll see posting), they don’t staff this forum 24/7.
