yes it is, was confirmed to be a level up raid even WoWHead touts it as such and aggrend on when ST was announced said it was a level up raid
Oh ok how much experience is it giving you?
First off nothing about SoD is hardâŠ
Second Im pretty sure the reason people are leaving because 20 man forced guilds to pug or merge. OH and if you dont make it in one of those raids you have to practically make a resume and apply to pug some of the easiest raid content we have ever seen. Getting in as a pug is more difficult than the actual contentâŠthe content that doesnt even remotely require stacking or even blue or better parses to complete⊠yet is an ABSOLUTE requirement of those looking for pugs.
2/10 i know you can do better, not enough buzz words.
This raid isnât hard.
I think the majority of the quitters saw the incursions loop, how it deviated from the classic feel of doing dungeons and quests. Saw it inject hundreds of thousands of raw gold server wide destroying the in game economy, then simply quit.
I know people who didnât even bother logging in to do the phase over the incursion grind itself. â but itâs easy and makes you gold!â
Sure. But a lot of people play classic for classic. Not retail daily quest grind.
ST has an extremely obnoxious amount of trash. The boss fights are by and large not super hard especially once you get the gimmick down, only maybe 2 really have challenging mechanics.
But the amount of trash + run back time on wipes since thereâs no teleports in dungeon can really kill a run particularly for pugs or guilds that only do 1 night.
Havenât really heard anyone âin gameâ complain about incursions. Nor anyone on discords relative to my guild or even the coalition say âoh I wonât play because of those.â It literally is something I only see here on the forums. I guess ymmv thoâŠ
Biggest complaint i saw in P2 was Gnomer. Had nothing to do with difficulty. People apparently disliked and avoided it as a dungeon and had no desire to do it as a raid. Said they would be back in P3 and were not. They never came onto discord again⊠I assume either they decided the game wasnât worth playing or saw something in the preview and didnât bother coming back or commenting.
To me I just find SoD getting boring. The rune system and how it could affect classes and offer a lot of variation sounded great. The reality is that either you play X class with X build or you donât play. Until guilds/raids get so desperate for players that it doesnât matter. Which at least on Lava Lash is pretty much how it is now.
Iâm not sure who is asking for X GS or parse⊠Probably more common on the still highly populated server(s). Yes I know some of the guilds even on Lava Lash are checking Warcraft Logs before they approach guilds to fill in on their raids. Since even I have been approached I donât think you need to parse that well⊠again just my experience on Lava Lash. I currently do not raid on any alts because I donât want to tie up more of my time in the game as it is. I do not find the game that interesting now as opposed to phase 1 when I was raiding 7 days a weekâŠ
Even in Phase 2 I raided more than I do now. I only even log in now to raid which has never been a play style for me, but there is nothing I find worth doing. I do really enjoy my guild and that is the only reason I still play at all. Which I think is a relatively common thread and likely more relative to why people are quitting than raid difficulty.
âDeadâ game thatâs hard.
There are countless legions of living games that donât interest me. Season of Discovery already has a sword dangling above its head because it is seasonal content - Iâd rather it be the best version it can be as we already know it is destined to die.
To wax poetic, what good is surviving if you are already dead in spirit? It is better to live briefly than to never have lived at all.
it wont give any right now until p4 just like gnomer but gnomer was said to be a level up raid
Eh, my guildies complain sometimes. Lot of dungeon-grinding Andies who claim that incursions killing dungeon-grinding âruinedâ leveling. I donât get it but eh.
Also, in theory, you wouldnât see people who donât play the game anymore complaining in-game about things that made them quit, so thatâs not exactly a bullet-proof argument.
Personally I like incursions and just think they need to be tweaked/tuned so that players engage in gameplay of combat but I enjoy a lot of the non-combat aspects and the overall vibe. Currently I have five 50s and will probably level more - and in fact I find leveling outside the incursion level brackets more tedious as grinding monsters is kind of boring after engaging in a gameplay style focused on moving from place to place quickly and adapting to the situation (are people fighting the boss right now, can we escort right now, etc). I think Classic Andies are just conditioned to think that leveling should equal grinding monsters endlessly and so content less focused on mindless grinding is abhorrent to them.
Dead game. Next
Between the shoulder enchants being the BIS shoulder enchant next phase (possibly?), being able to turn in flasks for giga-giga juiced food, and class quests, and just overall XP, I honestly could foresee PUGs running ST in perpetuity if the XP is good enough.
Gnomer PUGs fell off hard because Emerald Wardens gear makes Gnomer gear kind of irrelevant, but if we donât have Emerald Wardens 2.0 gear then ST may be relevant as a pre-bis or pre-pre-bis piece of content. I think thatâs kind of exciting.
Thatâs how anecdotes work yes. I anecdotally know many who hate the mechanic and even more who just quit burnt out feeling the pressure to do incursions or just be economically behind.
But for me , itâs just an objective bad since itâs a massive raw gold injection into the game with very very low effort , and low challenge. These are bad mechanics. I wouldnât mind incursions if it was just for rep.
If all players can handle is loot pinatas then maybe weâre better off without WoW.
I think incursions should be handled differently. Feels like they should have been only be a weekly for larger rep rewards.
Iâd rather go back to ST at 60, then farm it at 50âŠ
Same with Gnomer, Iâd rather go back to it (if there is something I want at 60), then to weekly farm gear in these.
Iâm just not a huge fan of raiding⊠itâs a logistical nightmare and I donât find it that much fun. At least at 60, the gear should last longer, and should be needed for the next content.
These pre-60 raidâs gear is easily replaced with faction gear or 60 dungeon gear.
People are bad, wtf, itâs not that hard XD Just need to learn mechanics.
Lol, there are so many factors sayings its any one thing is crazy.
Harder raids + longer leveling times (mainly during phase 2)
New game mode attrition (The spectacle is dying down of it being a new theme so people have decided if they are interested or not.)
Balancing issues.
Making a boring gameplay leveling loop that is so efficient it makes all other leveling not worth entertaining.
Yet I think that same loop is healthy for level 50 as it gives people 1 extra thing that can do at 50.
I enjoy raiding with my guild and like to PVP but I am very close to dropping pvp and becoming a âpve andyâ as this 50% reduction was the dumbest thing they have ever done and is so short sighted its crazy. Canât bring a change like this and not do buffs and nerfs to individual classes to match. Why its stupid in the first place.
Itâs absolutely wild how bad people are at this game. I was doing ST seed farming a few days ago and I asked why they didnât clear eranikus. Their strat was basically take a dump in one hand and throw it him. I explained a 3 sentence strat and a week later, I get a message from him saying that they cleared him.
This raid isnât hard. Most people on sod just arenât capable of finding their butt cheeks with both hands and a flash light.
I can only speak for myself, but it was the incursions for me and the empty world and lack of dungeon runs.
The incursions were such a massive turn off i legit just logged off. Jumped on my warlock to see if maybe that server was different and it was the same crap.
I went back to ERA and started a new priest on hardcore.
