The whole story removed male characters, that was the first thing I noticed, yes there were supporting male characters, but for protagonists, not one, NOT ONE was male.

I feel like you’re simply trolling at this point as one of your main complain in another patches story was no female leads. No matter what happens you’re not happy lol good lord man, take a break.

Imo, the whole point of Sendrax was to feel pity for the dragons, and it felt cheap because we just met them and they died not fifteen minutes later. And their death was hilariously bad, like they didn’t have to die right there, but they seemingly chose to.

Runas the Shamed was a better tragic character.

Zuni, the Darkspear troll noob who quests with you when you create a new troll character, was a better character because at least we had more time with him.

Sendrax could’ve been fleshed out as a character more, and their death would’ve been more impactful than it was.

Highly unlikely, Blizzard lost the ability to write meaningful character deaths years ago.

They’re just memes at this point.

• Horde Character dies? Unnecessary and cruel to the playerbase. Just another notch on the ledger for Blizzard.
• Alliance Character dies? LOL they’ll come back.
• Neutral Character dies? Who gives a damn.

I’m tired of Tyrande and Malfurion.

I don’t mind them personally, but I’m glad they seem to be content to just chill and have their second honeymoon or whatever for now. They’ve been through a lot of stuff and have been featured pretty consistently since Legion, so I’m happy to see some different characters being used in TWW.

Imagine you are a storyteller, and you spend endless hours on…let’s say Cataclysm for instance. This was the best idea Blizz ever came up with. STOP ADDING USELSS ISLANDS AND USE THE GD MAP YOU ALREADY HAVE.
And people ignore everything you came up with…

You recreate azertoth, you put in storylines and quests. Just for 90% to be ignored because… “EXP BONUS” and “Flying” and everyone skipped the entire concept to hit end game levels.

If I was Blizz i’d stop worrying about story telling as well. Case in point? the JaiLEr - most idiotic end boss thing in history lol

Malfurion had to be fished out of Ardenweald. He was traded for Ysera with the two of them moving back and forth between Ardenweald and Azeroth.

That left things up to Tyrande to manage.

The worst part about this is Fyrakk, Fyrakk’s whole mission in the plot of 10.2, is to destroy this barrier. And when the blood elf primalist guy suggests that he can just use the stupid axe to just bring it down, his first instinct is to kill him? Why?

Then come later, Fyrakk literally does it in like 5 seconds. The whole thing just doesn’t make sense. NONE of this makes sense. What the f LIKE WHY? WHY? Why do this? Instead we get some watered down horse crap we have to submit $50 for, it just betrays the customer!

I actually didn’t mind Fyrakk. He was batsh** crazy and liked to murder things. You didn’t need to understand it, and he wasn’t exactly rational. It is WAY worse when you get this super intelligent, complicated villain that makes the stupidest of mistakes just because.

As for the axe and bringing down the barrier, I’m pretty sure that was all explained. He didn’t want to waste energy doing it. Why expend energy on it when you can send minions? For all we know having to break the barrier weakened him a bit.

Did you not pay attention to the story? He had to stay in Ardenweald to allow Ysera to participate in the shock & awe tactics leading up to the world tree with her wild god dragon ardenweald shtick. I’d rather have a former aspect and half wild god than a formidable druid in a siege.

The winter queen basically said “Somebody’s gotta take her place if you’re gonna take her from where she belongs” and malfurion volunteered.

The dragonflight story was weak imo, I enjoyed the expansion a lot but the main story held plenty of inconsistencies. A theory on that is because they are changing the story to something else mid way after a change in writers.

The problem was that they had already put so much time into creating Alex’s image of Teldrassil burning that it would have required writing that off in order to restart development in a way that would have ended up making the expansion make sense. That would have meant a major delay. So they just went with it and put in a bunch of filler content and mini stories.
