The plot for 10.2 is so bad

Alright the story for 10.2 is pretty awful. I can’t even begin to point out the stupidity of multiple moments in the plot. The whole Avengers assemble team nonsense that came out of seemingly nowhere is only the tip of the iceberg with Thrall yet again seemingly for dumb and idiotic reasons throwing his axe and missing the target.

The whole story removed male characters, that was the first thing I noticed, yes there were supporting male characters, but for protagonists, not one, NOT ONE was male. Also, where the hell is Malfurion? Tyrannde and Malfurion have always been sort of a team but now that we’re inside the Emerald Dream he’s seemingly nowhere to be found?! Why? Where is he?

The worst part about this is Fyrakk, Fyrakk’s whole mission in the plot of 10.2, is to destroy this barrier. And when the blood elf primalist guy suggests that he can just use the stupid axe to just bring it down, his first instinct is to kill him? Why?

Then come later, Fyrakk literally does it in like 5 seconds. The whole thing just doesn’t make sense. NONE of this makes sense. What the f LIKE WHY? WHY? Why do this? Instead we get some watered down horse crap we have to submit $50 for, it just betrays the customer!

The introduction of Fyrakk, at the start was actually done well, how his malice came about actually was considerably good. But it falls of HARD, like HARD. We have no idea how he entered the Emerald Dream, and can only guess that he used the portal.

I genuinely want to forget at this point that this expansion exists. The same nonsense garbage that happened in the last patch of Shadowlands is happening ALL OVER AGAIN.

And the shader, the god awful SHADER for the barrier, it MAKES my computer roar! Everytime I get near it, my Graphics card becomes a god damn hurricane?! Why not just use a past shader whose intent wasn’t to murder GPUs?!

I’m expecting a change in TWW. TWW is literally the last chance I am giving blizzard. I’ve had enough. And I only do it out of love for the game, TWW is going to be the last chance I give Blizzard to fix this mess.

To be honest I do not think you should buy another one, if you hate 2 xpacs in a row I think it’s a save your own sanity kind of thing

When I hate 2 movie in a row for example I am not going to even try the third one

I agree that SL and most of DF’s story was absolute stupidity. However, the creative director who was in charge of narrative during SL and most of DF is gone. So there is hope for TWW.

The last time I actually liked the plot of WoW, was during Legion lol.

BfA had a strong start but quickly died for Sylvanas.

SL - Don’t even need to talk about it.

DF was okay, but still just not as good as past expansion stories.

He was in ardenweald. And yes, it was very stupid. Which is why there was a lot of discussion about it many months ago. You’re a bit late to the party, my dude!

I played the wrong story and am catching up to the part where they lead to that. ;c

I like how this timeline keeps shifting. Originally Shadowlands was the last thing he worked on and now, apparently, the same dude did Dragonflight too lol.

The true ending of Dragonflight was the family and friends we met along the way. Maybe Mon-Ark too. :bone::robot:

No, SL was the first expansion he was the lead for (he got handed BFA in-production when Afrasiabi was imploding) though the general outline was set up before that.

DF was his first and only baby

It’s an odd theory but i’ve been suspecting Fyrakk’s slasher character was meant for the dark lab Abberus while Vyranoth’s Primalist Future was meant for Dawn of the Infinites. Might be a crazy idea. :8ball::robot:

Rymek was a smarter villain honestly.

I liked individual areas/quest lines a lot for sure but the tone for the expansion was set for me when the YOUNG PUNKY DRAKONID WITH HER WHOLE WONDERFUL LIFE IN FRONT OF HER just kind of randomly died for some reason in front of a proto drake egg 5 minutes after her introduction and I was expected to feel something other than pity for whoever wrote the scenario.

The only big main questline I vibed with was Wrathion and Sabellion being overly competitive brothers. Getting a little bit of catharsis against Odyn was nice too, though ofc there was 0 warrior reactivity.
