The player community sucks

People have told Unix/Linux users to rm -rf * in their root directory since the 70s because they didn’t RTFM when they asked a question so it’s nothing new.

Nothing can be done about those people especially Blizzard, fixing people and their butthole behavior has been a crisis even before WoW.

Why do people get so butt hurt cause some nameless faceless pixel said some mean stuff I dont get it, like just move on dude stop whining it’s all meaningless an cant hurt you unless you act the way you are now

i dont want to be that guy, but the alliance has this problem. come play with us on the horde. we give big hugs.

Any room for a drunken Scottish goblin? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been away since pre-cataclsym and have found forums quite social and helpful, whereas general and trade seem completely shot… bleeding even… I have to work on this one and find a vibrant community.

If it at all makes you feel better dove, I always suck.

I think you can turn off the option for people to whisper you.

Honestly though, if people are going that far to whisper you insults (outside of PvP), then I imagine they had something to make them want to insult you.

Moon Guard trade chat has always been a cesspool. I used to have fun with it back in the wotlk days but now I have it off. Best thing to do is just shut trade off.

I’ve played both sides extensively. Both sides have their fair shares of absolute douchebags and absolute saints.

I’ve played both sides as well, and I agree. Horde are no better than alliance. They just have fewer people, so there’s not as much traffic in chat… but the same drama, political debates, gross jokes, and so on happen on horde just as much as alliance.

Are you new to the internet?

I’ve played many MMOs over my life time and WoW has over the past 8 years grown to be the worse community ever. Currently I’m putting almost all my time in to FFXIV and the community there is leaps and bounds better. Sure you still run into those few toxic people but no where as bad. I have yet to see anyone tell someone else to go delete their character or worse yet, to go kill themselves. In WoW you can’t do a single LFR without seeing this at least once.

When FFXIV is as old as WoW, we’ll compare notes.

My latest toxic player encounter involved a guy who knew I was new to the premade scene on classic, yet spent 10 minutes trash talking me in /w.

Pure vitriolic anger and insults. Honestly, everything was going fine until this clown came forward. I knew the moment I didn’t like him that he was a real piece of trash. I was right. My intuition never lies.

I don’t trash talk anyone ever. I never insult, or create drama. I’m literally one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Mind you, I like to eat gnomes. Anyways, point is. I was noticing an increase on my server of rude, selfish, and out right uncooperative people.

It really kills WoW for me honestly because I’d much rather be in a place that promotes team work, sharing, and respect. I’ve been seeing a decline in these things over the years in WoW. It’s a shame.

Can’t even post on forums for same reason.

I’ll make sure to come back to this thread a year from now, to keep the trend going.

Yeah these people are all around. Joined a lfg heroic dungeon and one person pulled an extra pack and the tank said man I hate dumb people. Like okay it happened, why do we all get so upset if everything is 100% efficient and perfect.

Finish school and design the game you want to see, maybe your game will inspire someone the same way wow did for you

Dear Blizzard:

Please close all threads that have not gotten a post in the last 30 days. Thank you!
