Why? Because you think pvp is fun so you want to force everyone to do it. No thank you. No one should be forced to do something they don’t like.
Maybe Blizzard would like it that those that don’t like this (pvp part) to cancel their sub for a month or so while this is going on since people are saying don’t like it, don’t play. If people aren’t playing for a month why pay for a sub?
Is this a “my way or the highway” type posts?
It’s super cute when people get labeled as “no fun” just because they don’t agree with YOUR idea of fun…
Honestly, if people want to play mindless zombies, let them play mindless zombies.
Bam! They’re now under the control of the game. They get to watch the horrible things they are forced to do.
The players want to play free willed zombies? That’s the Forsaken. That’s their schtick.
Agreed! Its something out of the norm and temporary. It gives people different things to do and is something people will make memories over. With some of my friends, we’ve been having an awesome time experiencing it and talking about it, and that’s how it should be. Im really glad Blizzy brought this back; i never got to experience the first one and it was always a regret for years and years.
Your fun is not the same as my fun.
I’ll laugh when it only happens in certain cities, and only for a couple hours a day.
And it was cut short if I remember correctly.
Not my way. I’m not designing the game.
I’m just urging that people try to enjoy what Blizzard does for a brief moment instead of bashing teeth, being slapped in the face and petitioning it.
Personally I can’t wait for the event but people should definitely be able to opt out.
Imagine being salty about the invasion.
Mmm, yes… post more in GD about about! YESSSSS
That doesn’t really make much sense for a company to do. Blizzard specifically wants subs - more money - even if Ion and the dev team didn’t get the memo.
Still, there’s no reason to rationalize why the event is okay. Easy solution for everyone involved - give those who don’t want to participate an opt-out.
It’s not particularly hard, shouldn’t be controversial, and certainly won’t affect the people who want the event.
I agree with you on that but if they don’t then I cancelling my sub while the event is on and I can always play one of my other games like SWTOR.
just like playing the current dev hiring practices, you have to lower your standards.
Mmore… MORE
They cut it short due to outrage. And even now, people still have nasty memories. So yeah … I’d say for enough people it was a big deal. And people are remembering those nasty memories and going “blizzard, how can you be this bloody stupid?!”
I’d like to see the source for this.
They didn’t cut it out of outrage. The event went for the entire planned time. The undead plague was supposed to end and there was to be a “calm before the storm” period before the expansion. When the plague ended, everybody started complaining about Blizzard caving and nobody looked into the situation. The ones who complained when it ended on schedule were just as bad as the ones that complained when it was going on.
The plague event got cut short because it was a buggy mess that had the forums in an uproar because it only catered to people who find the ghoul gameplay fun. Did you want to fight back? Too bad, blizz basically destroyed any tools you had to try and combat the plague as the event went on.
I think if some of the opinions of the pro-forcing the event on everyone people go into the live event that it’s going to end up shutting it down early again. Leave the plague chaos to the people who enjoy that, and that way you’re going to cut down on the level of outrage on the forums that most likely cut off the last stage of plague after a day or two. And if you want it really epic, actually let other players who are more into the zombie hunting side of that kind of story get their Ash on this time.
The original event lasted 5 days.
If enough complaints hit Blizzard this one might not even make it that long. We’ll see.
maybe the plague event is a self distancing training course for gamers.
We will. I’d still like to see a source saying Blizzard shut the original event down early and said they’d never do it again. I don’t think that happened at all.
