The options are: go places where the event isn’t as prevalent, go to your garrison, go farm old raids/dungeons. Tons of options for players who don’t want to participate. A toggle just cheapens the event itself.
and if blizzard assigned a different employee to run each zombie that would be different too. Blizzard isnt writing a new ai for this, so it is a moot point.
LOL do you do Islands? It’s wouldn’t be a new AI. Blizz introduced it already at the start of BFA. The advanced AI was a new feature added in this x-pac for Islands.
Either way, it’s still better than a human because the AI will act predictably. You might fall once or twice but you’ll see the ‘rules’ it follows and eventually be able to adapt. Players do not follow this, and are unpredictable because they’re players.
I cannot imagine this ‘new AI’ would ignore aggro from guards and engage the enemy. Plus, being zombies, they have no reason to demonstrate any level of cunning or intellect. The opposite, actually, they should lurch toward the nearest thing they see and attack it. No complexity at all, nor should there be.
Again, you’ve never defined how someone in an instance and someone being sharded off are somehow different. Your world isn’t affected by my absence. At all.
You’re just desperate to hold this Sword of Damocles above everyone’s head so you can get your ganking fix.
It negates the world’s rules and negates the event. You shouldn’t be able to opt out of the world. Everyone should have to follow the rules of a shared world.
Trying to say this is about NPC behavior is a false flag. The issue is for some reason the same players who have no issue with getting killed by Silicon controlled NPC’s get hives at the thought of being killed by a Human being controlling the cartoon that killed them.
The difference is if you’re away from a city, you’re not being affected. We agree on this right? However that city is still being affected regardless if you’re there or not. Still with me on this? Here’s where the difference comes in, if you choose to go back to that city you and the city will be affected. If you have your own shard you get to ignore the event where it’s taking place. Do you really not see this difference?
I’ve already pointed out the hypocrisy, but when you’re determined not to see it or admit that it’s even a possibility, then a discussion with you is guaranteed to be fruitless.
Also Atulzan from this thread on having an on/off toggle for flight (Can We Get a No Fly Toggle Mode Similar to War Mode?): “But that’s what YOU want. Why do you need the game to force it on you? I just don’t get it.”
Looking at your two very different statements, I have a hard time taking you seriously when you throw up your hands and proclaim that you’re not a massive hypocrite.
OK. So how does the new AI work then? How is it never predictable? My brief time on the Islands was as easy as Slow → Blast → Blast → Blast → Nova if they’re close → Barrage → Blast → Repeat until desired effect is achieved. Toss in a Blink if I’m feeling feisty.
I’m still being affected you gigantic donkey. I’m just being affected by AI zombies, not PLAYER zombies.
I’m wanting no toggle for flight on/off? Seems like I’m pretty consistent with this. I told that person (not in these exact words) that you can choose to play on the ground. A choice. The same world rules apply to me and that person. If they choose to be on the ground that’s fine but the could fly at any point. Same world, same rules. I fail to see any hypocrisy.
I’M not making sense? A zombie is a zombie, is it not? How is it not affecting me if it’s controlled by AI versus controlled by a player?
Let me clarify my position in case this is the part you’re confused about:
I do not want to be attacked by PLAYER-CONTROLLED zombies. AI-CONTROLLED zombies are fair game, and I will fight and die against them as often as I must. THAT is what I am asking to be able to sidestep, the PLAYER-CONTROLLED zombies.
Of course you don’t see the hypocrisy. That’s what ideologues go out of their way to avoid. They refuse to see problems with their own viewpoints but have no problem pointing out the problems in others’. (Bear in mind that I am not advocating for either side.)
And for the record, you’re not the only one in this thread who’s acting like a jerk towards the OP. I just simply picked you out because you were illustrating the OP’s point perfectly.
Like I said the undead faction were just zombies under the power of the Lich King. They now have free will. If a player is turned their free will remains for a bit.
Well I hate that for you but those aren’t the rules of the event.
Blizz needs to add a way to let players who want to fight the Zombie Hordes have a fighting chance. Add an on use, limited charge item to an Argent Vendor that acts like a mini Ashbringer or something to that effect.
Also, allow players who can Cleanse Disease cleanse the effect like we could during the OG event.
This event just needs a little tweaking to be fun for everyone.
