I always think of this when I hear/read that term - even tho spellin’
And all the other people want is to opt out of the event and do the normal gameplay. That’s not much to ask for at all.
You do realize, if Blizzard does give an option to opt out, we can use that same argument against you that “it’s Blizzard’s game and they can do what they want”?
Were not talking about flying.
Doesn’t really matter how long it is. It can be two minutes and still people don’t want to partcipipate in it because they don’t find it fun.
Also, two weeks? where did you know that?
Asking for an option to opt out of the event and back into the normal gameplay is not much to ask. At all.
It’s on PTR right now.
Well your suggesting people to not play the game if they don’t like this one event they don’t wish to contribute and just want to play the normal gameplay. That is contributing to the event being cut short. By suggesting that, your actively contributing to that. I would’ve figured for somebody who loved the event so much, wouldn’t do something like that that actively contributes to making the event unpopular to where it essentially destroys it’s second chance to shine.
What your asking those whom you claim to be “crying” to do only serves to hurt your event to love so much.
(Unless the Blizz does want to make it a qu-zai regular thing for scourge/undead/death theme expansion pre-patches)
Because some people don’t find the zombie invasion fun and they just want the normal gameplay.
Because fun is subjective.
Let’s not misdirect what the people want with this. The people are explicit on what they want here, they simply don’t want to participate without wanting to leave the game or avoid most of the content by staying in one spot.
And for somebody who is against people opting out via button click, you don’t mind people opting out via logging out of the game completely or staying in one place like the garrison or something. Yet your concerned if somebody opted out via button click.
Having to log out or staying in a garrison defeats the purpose too.
If your gonna use this argument, at least be consistent with it. I would respect you more if you are at least consistent with it, even if you say something silly along the lines of “Blizzard needs to put virus on their computer that forces WoW to turn on and force their characters to be apart of the event”.
Ok thank you for admitting defeat, we can move on with this thread now.
Why would they come right now to play when they would have to purchase BFA and SL instead of just waiting and getting Shadowlands in a month or two, should be pretty obvious which choice the majority of new players is going to choose.
As for returning players I guarantee you with absolute certainty there is going to be more people coming back just to play this event than there will be to specifically check out the other things.
Yet the majority of the posters here are in favour of leaving it as it is with zero opt outs, and also have by far more likes than the people arguing for opt in/outs. I’d love to see where your sample size is because it’s not in this very large thread.
I’m confused. Where did I admit defeat? Heck I’d settle for where did someone actually intelligently even attempt to argue my points?
Why would they need to argue your points? The majority of the people here want blizzard to leave it as is so I’m going to safely assume they will take that path as it’s the one of least resistance. So in the end we already won.
This is the thing that makes me okay with a way to opt-in/opt-out. I get that people don’t want to take part in this. No one wants to force anyone to participate. It’s a game and should be fun. I can’t define someone else’s good time. I’m fine with garrisoning it up if the event gets fatiguing to me or logging out but I’m not telling someone else they have to do that and can’t seek another way to enjoy the game.
I would hope that everyone would attempt to give it a try but it’s cool that not everyone likes the same things I do. Their opinion matters too.
So how does this mean you win the argument? You haven’t argued. The point of the discussion is to discuss points. I’ve made points. They haven’t been refuted.
Ok, but that’s what I’m saying there is no need to argue anything really because it’s probably not going to change as the event already added to the PTR is the one the majority of people want. Now if you want something to argue about I’d suggest making one for the exact length of the invasion. 4 weeks? 1 week? These are the real arguments to be had.
…You’re basing that off of likes?
Now your misrepresenting what i say as i’m saying/implying that “i have a sample size” for no real reason, when i’m clearly talking about the people who doesn’t want to opt in and just want to do normal gameplay. Nobody was talking about sample size until you bought it up.
Also again, why is it okay to defeat the purpose of the scourge event by logging off or staying in your garrison, but choosing to opt out and go into the normal game isn’t okay? Why the inconsistency here?
It’s weird, I can’t really hear you over this weird whiny crying noise
There are plenty of arguments to be had. They may or may not actual turn into any actionable results, but the arguments can still be explored. That is literally the point of these forums. To bring up and discuss points. To argue and debate.
Fine by me if you dont want to argue. No skin off my nose either if you want to think you “win” simply because currently the event is structured in a way you approve of. It doesn’t make you right. It doesn’t make Blizzard right.
Or to put another way, if you and the masses want to believe 2+2 = 22, and i say no it doesn’t, it doesn’t mean you are “right” just because more people sided with you.
Blizzard is gonna do what Blizzard is gonna do with their game. I hope there is no opt out. If there is no opt out the event will be great. If there is an opt out the event won’t be near as good. Just the facts.
I like how few or no people have actually addressed OP’s concerns about crashes.
Twice. It was also the pre-Naxx release event in Vanilla.
I have tried it yet and I won’t until it is fixed. It is silly to try and make a case, that most people want this or that out of the responses in a thread when the event isn’t even live.
I also pay month to month so blizzard actually won’t be getting any money from me for that month.
How nice. You found someone happy to be a victim.
Found someone that understands that this is a game about everyone not just themselves. Someone that understands that a 2 week event isn’t the end of the world.
Good, if you don’t enjoy it you should unsub and save your money during the event the rest of us will be enjoying immensely.
