Making it opt-in isn’t ruining it, except for people that can only get their jollies through ganking others.
I turned War Mode off. I’d like to turn this off as well if I had the option. Give me that, and you lot can have your fun!
Does the debuff get cleared when you enter an instance?
If it’s forced on people it’s gonna be a crapshoot. I don’t enjoy others interfering with my gameplay which is why I don’t have warmode on. Fun is subjective and the wotlk event wasn’t fun for many.

War mode is not the solution because war mode is owned on NA realms by Horde and on OCE realms claimed by alliance. Not to mention there are people with N’zoth toys running about. I’d rather have a scenario where people are able to cooperate to some degree with me than complete anarchy mode.
I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure DK’s are not your typical undead by classification.
I’m talking the plague that turned the Forsaken into what they were. Paladins were immune to that. Not the magic that turns someone into a DK.
It’s why forsaken could be everything a human could be, class wise, except DK’s. When you died as a human mage, you could become forsaken and still be a mage. A human mage could die and be raised as a DK and no longer use their arcane magic but wield a runeblade and wear plate and so DK stuff.
Believe it or not more people will be coming to play specifically for this prepatch, than people like you.
A lot of people specifically left because it’s just not WoW anymore. And this is definitely a WoW-like event.

I think there’s a lot of rose colored glasses about the event as well. It was pretty buggy and actively felt like it punished people who wanted to participate as survivors basically. It got too punitive on what the ghouls got over players.
Hopefully they’ll add some stuff in, and also keep the end stage level as just a day or two. Because once it got up to steam it wasn’t fun if you didn’t enjoy the zombie gameplay. Throw in some stuff for people to defend, and ways to try and hold back the infection and it could have been epic for more people.

But that isn’t the reason undead can’t be paladins. The real reason makes it silly that they’re allowed to be holy/discipline priests but that’s Blizz for ya.
Cool. Have your fun. I won’t be a part of it. The proposed above was me trying to be nice and extend an olive branch, but we apparently can’t have nice things.
Not true it seems to get there. I think Undercity is likely fine though, probably Darnassus as well. Time travel means there is no reason for it to be there. Also Garrisons and what not.
The thing is… it’s an invasion. You don’t get to just opt out. Sometimes, inconvenience adds to the fun. The second something becomes challenging, people want to opt out of it…
It’s okay that some challenges and inconveniences exist. They don’t have to make an easy option every single time someone doesn’t like something.

Can some one please find the blue posts from the previous time they ran this event and players made these exact complaints… it basically amounting to telling players to suck it up its only for a few weeks and post them here.
Actually, complaints like yours are why we can’t have nice things such as this pre patch event. People like you are why we got the pathetic event we got in BFA.

I think there’s more forgotten here the it being roses glasses. The zombie thing was just a part. There was many zones we had to go and defend. It wasn’t Zombiefest 24/7.
I also recall something from Blizzard saying there are no forsaken holy/disc priests but for gameplay reasons they exist. Canonically they either heal with shadow variants of those spells or just are all shadow priests.
Oh? This one will see Silvermoon? Nice. Like you said UC is a great beat since you have to go “back in time” to be in UC.

Oh, and you don’t get to say no ever, and I can ask for a battle during any point, even if we’re raiding or Arena or anything. I mean, you could log off, though. But why would you be a coward and do that?

I don’t know if it will be on live, but I was in silvermoon on PTR and saw zombies everywhere. I don’t know how it got there though because when I ported there it took my zombie infection away. Must be a cockroach there that can turn you.
This doesn’t equate because you can’t be turned into a ghoul in the middle of arenas and raids.
Now if you said anybody could pet battle you in the middle of Stormwind on the ground, as I said before:
If it was a 2 week thing, that’d actually be really funny.
