The Plague Event is Fine, but only if it's Opt-In

Making it opt-in means everyone who’s there for the event is there for the event. Just because ‘it’s two weeks’ doesn’t excuse being unable to say ‘oh, not for me, thanks’. I don’t want to interrupt or deny you your fun, so don’t impose that ‘fun’ on me. Thanks.

Where is the graveyard for SW?

How many times would they have to make the run before giving up?

And why is any inconvenience for other players okay?

And don’t forget res timers after excessive deaths. I got up to 5 minutes once due to corpse camping.

Google? I didn’t say Wowhead or anything. I said a search engine. If you’re using the internet and don’t know what a search engine is, you have more problems than just a pre-patch

For an event that is supposedly oh so fun and neat…people sure do take issue with the thought of people not being forced to join their slaughter games.

It’s almost as if your fun completely hinges on their being victims for you to grief.

Given that this is about you being a mindless ghoul, I think it would only be fitting if, once turned, you were forced to just watch as your ghoul form ran around aimlessly with you being 100% unable to control it. You can’t get out of it in any way until your ghoul form is killed.

Plague event what am I missing? Where can I do this?

PTR, the Wrath Zombies are back.

That sounds like fun so prepatch?

No, wrong issue. Let them opt out. However the real issue is people concerned that all the QQ will have Blizz nerf an awesome event.

We shall see how many people get triggered by this event given what we are experiencing irl right now.

Might be to soon???

Last time we had the zombie event I hung out in some classic raids or played another game. I won’t last forever and why not let the ones that enjoy it do so instead of whining and complaining.

The issue I (and am sure others too) have with this is the PTR offering the opening Shadowsland Quest line when apparently the PTR is only for the pre-patch event and not to test in Shadowlands. I can not turn in the quest because the NPC has been killed by the Zombies.

I think it should be Opt-IN rather than Opt-OUT. Reason being is that if it’s Opt-OUT, getting to the point where you opt-out (unless it’s a dialog that pops up as soon as you’d be exposed to the event) might be difficult depending on camping, griefing, etc.

Bam, you log in, and are bitten again.

Guess you better log out again.

You’re really making this into way more than it was. Even during the last one I was able to navigate Shatt without being affected.

LOL… you do know you can move while a zombie right? Go somewhere there isnt zombies and then fix yourself.

oooo hard. I must be a next level genius to know this when you do not. That or you are super dumb.

Must have been a different server than mine. That got locked down since no one could fight back.

It’s just an additional safeguard to make sure you REALLY want what’s happening to happen to YOU.

Again, War Mode is Opt-IN, rather than on by default. This should be the same.

Congrats.

I was trying to level an alt from 20s/30s to 70, so I could play at the launch.

Much fun!

My server never got locked down during it. It was seriously only major cities besides that there were “non ghoul” invasions happening all over the map.
