Well that is your choice, the fun to be had here is mostly on the aggressor side. Not all events will be fun for all people. There has been events I skipped playing entirely for awhile as well. I in particular remember the cataclysm event where the elementals kept ganking me in town. Wasn’t exactly fun for me, but what ever. I chose to wait it out . Honestly I remember when deathwing would murder us and I couldn’t even opt out of that one unless I skipped the entire expansion because that didn’t go away until he died.
They can’t mount and last time, I was able to make it maybe 5 ft outside Shatt before I exploded anyway. There was a time limit on it last time. If you just ran around like a zombie, in a few minutes you blew up anyway.
Why is the pre-patch event the only period in which you can level an alt?

You never answered my question.
I’m sorry you couldn’t come up with an answer.
Indefensible positions are like that.

“Take no risks because it may inconvenience a few people” is the kind of attitude that has led this game to bouts of stagnation.

Because maybe I have bad timing and decide ‘Oh, pre-patch! I’ll create a new chara- oh, wait. Aw, man.’ Or I’m new and get in during pre-patch. Or any number of other hypotheticals.
Me i would say yes if i could opt out yes i would forfeit all rewards

Take all the risks you want with this event! Just let me sidestep it if it’s not my cup of tea.

I’m pretty sure the first time someone asks a question they will get the usual comment of That is what wowhead is for. And then instantly bam educated.

And like the OP you’d have my full support then. If you feel that strongly I say let ya opt out.
And yet here you are demanding everyone be subject to the OPed ghoul event where there’s not actually any way for the other side to meaningfully fight back if it gets to the end stages it did in Wrath. The ghouls were the mindlessly easy option and everything else was nerfed into oblivion so they couldn’t effectively resist.
Personally, I want to try the 10-50 in old content.
I’ll probably make a ton of alts, to try Alliance side of those old xpacs.
Currently, I outlevel the xpacs too fast to enjoy them, so I’m waiting for SL.
You can side step it. The majority of it will be happening in Orgrimmar and Stormwind anyway.
Don’t log in and go somewhere no one is at.
The game doesn’t revolve just around you and what YOU want. It’s up to Blizzard what in-game events they want to create.
It’s a very limited time event. Stop trying to be the, “fun” police.
My goodness the things people WHINE about on here, my GOODNESS. It BLOWS MY MIND!

It’s in the capital cities and it’s apparently spilled into outlying cities.
As far as I know, it’s not in BfA and people have mentioned loading screens remove it, so it wont spill over into expansions unless they remove that.
People taking a short run through a city is hardly some kind of massive injustice that demands fixing.
They go to chrome or the quest board and then you’re sent off to the expansion of your choosing.
I plan on leveling alts myself during this time.

All they need to do is add a potion that makes you resistant for a couple hours at a time. Also i am pretty sure you have some time to hit the Argent guy to get the plague removed and maybe that gives you a short immunity buff.
As for the PvP, i hate it but this is fun as i rather enjoyed the 1st one we had. Experiencing something new is the spice of life.
edit cause i cant spell hate lol
You are viewing a skewed selection. You know of these things, so you assume others do, too.
Yep infact if you die and become a ghoul. Literally all you have to do is logout and back in. Bam no longer a ghoul… ooooooo scary. I honestly wouldn’t doubt if a simple /reload wouldn’t get rid of it.
