Just finished the Path to Glory quest in Maldraxxus and recieved a cutscene showing my character hold the runeblade… But didn’t recieve the sword. Will this be fixed?
isn’t there a follow up quest that actually offers a choice of weapons.

I don’t think the runeblade is an actual item. It is simply part of the storyline for the quest. You get a weapon from the follow up quest, but you do not actually get the runeblade.

No, they’re a bunch of bone swords. Don’t look the same. Blade of the Primus I thin it’s called.
I just checked the quest with a quick search on WoWhead and it looks like it doesn’t give you any weapons for completing it. You get the weapon two quests after it, if you check the questline on the right.

Thanks, I knew I was remembering correctly… but you know what they say about age and memory. The runeblade is not an actual item that you get, it is simply a story device.

Good thing, too - I’m Beast Mastery on main, not Survival. A runeblade would be a bit hard to turn into a bow. 
Thanks for looking into it. That feels like a ripoff to make such a big deal out of a sword(or similar rune weapon) you never get.
There are some story beats later on that involve the runeblade you helped with (though I won’t talk about them here because spoilers), so it’s certainly a deal. Just not an actual item we can get only to vendor after a few levels.
