No, the most Vanilla like would have been releasing patch 1.0 and then continuing from there. If you can’t see that ship has sailed… well I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe a lot metrics from the Dire Maul release have already been hit? Gold in the economy, players at certain levels. Maybe, just maybe Blizzard has some data to back up their decision.

Did I miss the memo where we decided that you get to control how we play the game?
For those able to see the big picture, they worry that rushed content will lead to TBC being released sooner rather than later. And TBC will likely destroy Classic when it comes out. That’s all I’m worried about, and why I’d like them to spread the phases out over a couple of years.
You do realize Dire Maul is a catch up mechanic… right?
Like to help people get into MC easier… right?
I’m not. Vanilla is. I’m referencing vanilla, not something I just pulled out of thin air.
But yes, everyone’s experience is different. What vanilla is from one individual to another can change because of their experience.
So how do you replicate that experience? You recreate the vanilla environment. The best way to do that is to give us a Classic that is as close to vanilla as possible. That includes content release timelines.
The vanilla experience needs a vanilla environment. Classic is that environment.
You realize DM is a pre-raid instance right? So it was nothing to do with how many are running MC because it sits at the same level and item range as places like BRD, UBRS, Strat and Scholo.
Quite possibly the worst post I’ve seen in a long while, congrats.
Then why are they even staggering content in the first place?
It’s to recreate the vanilla environment for an authentic vanilla experience; period.
Initially there were going to be less than 6 content phases. There was a lot of community backlash about this and so in order to make it more vanilla like we got 6 phases. The phases exist for the sake of a vanilla experience. Why should they start compromising that now?
It’s not about me or you or anyone else. It’s simply about maintaining the most vanilla like experience possible.
Sure, but 1.12 talents doesn’t invalidate anything else. A shift from the most pure vanilla experience possible doesn’t mean you continue to move further and further away from it. That’s just silly. That’s what we call a straw man. Please take your straw man to the corn field.
Did he actually say that was why they were releasing Dire Maul?
Offhand, if they’re releasing it early, my guess would be they finished conversion and testing more quickly than they anticipated. What did he actually say was the reason?
What. It absolutely does change things. The loot tables in MC are updated as well. You are just spouting off nonsense without taking a look at the complete picture of the build we are on.
People dont need that help in 2019 1.12, Molten Core.
No the 1% will run out of content and move on…then about 70% will follow them…and all that will be left are people that actually enjoy classic.
Ok? Like what? Why should we get Dire Maul 50 days early? What is it about the current state of Classic that demands Dire Maul be released early in order to create a more vanilla like experience?
Am I really part of the top 1% lol? I guess if you include all the 1 month subscribers who have already stopped playing.
Where does it say when DM is releasing?
Is that your strategy on the forums? When you have no logical response to a post you toss out an old “lazy” red herring with a hint of “go back to retail” and “no changes” to try and dress it up to make it look like you actually added something to the conversation? I don’t think anyone has ever won over an audience that way, but keep your chin up… there’s always a first time for everything.
Hardcore raiders barely exist in Classic, but those that do are already in the raid logging phase. They don’t really care about DM. It will be farmed out in a day for what few pieces actually matter at that level of play, then they’ll go back to raid logging.
DM is being pushed out for the casual 60s who are quickly becoming the majority.
