The over-importance of M+ Key runs

No because there’s other content to do in the game and other games to play. M+ takes too much time when you’re already raiding.

Which if they double the raid loot wouldn’t feel as bad, but the problem would still be there. But that’s a solution I would be happy with.

The raiders I do keys with would disagree.

Is raiding for 3 hours, twice a week that much of a commitment? My high-end mythic guilds have all only ever required 1 m+ done (which they will help carry you for if need be). People like myself opt to do more not because I feel I have to but because I want to. I like gearing up and replacing old gear. Even normal and heroic raiding guilds typically do 2x 3 hour raid days, and sprinkle in some optional m+ during the week for those that want to. It really isn’t that much of a step up in strict in-game time commitment as it is skill. I think more people don’t mythic raid because of the difficulty of the raid more than the time commitment, or just don’t like progressing on bosses.

how do you know that?

The issue is the answer to this question varies based on the relative tuning of keys versus raid which is not constant.

You do know what’s like a couple people in the grand scheme. And of course people that keep playing shouldn’t have too much a problems with it. It’s all the unhappy people that leave xd

Most guilds raids 9 hours at high level. And yes that’s enough.

Well you haven’t got cutting edges and you play alliance. I don’t feel I need to add more.

My stance on this, it’s much easier to get quality gear in m+ early in a seasom, and there won’t be a day you can catch me not doing the best I can to progress my character, whether my raid leader demands it or not is irrelevant.

Only when you’re defeating the last bosses in mythic raid does the importance of running m+ gets reduced.

With that said, I haven’t run a single m+ so far due to time constraints.

Real talk: Did you post source data that a substantial number of people who have quit and don’t come back to raid because they couldn’t raid log? I missed it.

Nope, not a single back up info or data was given to all claims here like "no one likes m+"or “so many people are quiting because of it” etc

The only reasonable data i saw were about how well accepted M+ is

You probably missed a lot more. As the point is even them know that adding requirements have made people leave else we would get borrowed powers again. M+ is a requirement. Anyone reasonable can settle on this.

I heard warfronts too were pretty successful when everyone did them because it was free loot.

Has there ever been a time where a +15 was harder than a mythic raid boss?

Again, thats your personal assumption transformed into data.

I play M+ because i like it. Should i take this as a proof of concept like you’re doing?

And that’s not what I’m doing when bringing arguments about time commitment. You just decide to ignore all of it. Of course you have the right to like something. The point is if that was the point we would say our stuff and go our own ways. But you’re here, so feel free to discuss and add arguments that aren’t totally false and trying to strawman me.

We saw a similar effect in Cata with the Dungeons released with 4.3 (End Time, etc.)

They dropped decent gear and could be spammed using LFD with no lockout so players did them ad nauseum. Mythic Plus is that on steroids.

Based on what? the 5 people in a youtube comments section who agree with you?

Nothing is forced, it’s all choice, again you kids using words when you don’t know what they means.

Again, you’re opinion doesn’t = majority.

Weird according to raider.io there have been 1.6 million keys run this season already.

I don’t what know your hate is for mythic +, maybe you’re just terrible at it, idk. But you clearly have no clue what you’re talking about.

Perhaps go outside, let your feet touch the grass or meet some friends cause your hate for something that makes you feel miserable clearly isn’t good for your mental health

Yeah I think blizz really needs to improve raid loot. I run M+ but I dont really like to. But the gear opportunity in M+ is so much better and raid loot is so bad, whattya gonna do?

Than the first couple bosses? Occasionally I would guess. I didn’t do any mythic bosses in Nathria. Would you say mythic Shriekwing was harder than +15 sanguine depths when it first came out?

I’m not trying to say mythic raiding isn’t more difficult than a +15. I just think it is important not to ignore that the difference in that difficultly “gap” isn’t constant.

Yes. by far. For sure first bosses have been easy. Shriekwing was actually one of the decent ones. If we go to BoD with champions of the light… heh.

My new guild did normal the first week but diving into heroic from here on out. My iLvl isn’t quite high enough for their heroic runs (270) so I’m having to do mythic + to catch up. Raiding normal in pugs just isn’t viable to upgrade gear in any sort of reasonable time, especially as this season is short and guilds might be feeling a bit of pressure to get into harder content. Those that are still running that is.

I’ve been on the door of CE every tier, and I have CE on Nzoth. You, however, have no experience mythic raiding compared to me so you can’t really try to pull that card.

So you are one of THOSE players? One of those toxic players that think faction has any effect on skill level? That explains a lot.
