RDF helps casuals group up with people.

RDF helps people who dont have much time to look for a group.

RDF helps incentivize tanks and healers with extra badges or gold.

RDF saves time instead of flying to the dungeon.

RDF you can meet new people.

RDF was in Wrath yes in 3.3.5 and if they add it in when they release ICC then cool.

RDF is part of classic Wrath and has stayed with the game for years.

RDF can help people spam dungeons and get better gear.

RDF is a great way to kill time instead of sitting in Dalaran looking for a group.

Also for the 100th reminder, I AM NOT AGAINST THE LFG TOOL.
I am against THE LFG CROWD and the way they go about trying to get what they want.
(I literally don’t care, happy if it’s in game, happy if it’s isn’t).

Although the idea that this LFG tool is “make or break”, “give me it or I’ll quit!” to so many people I find to be completely pathetic.
But I think most of the people saying “give me lfg or I’ll quit!” are just trying to use a form of blackmail to get what they want.

When people were dreaming of the days of “going back to classic”, not a single person was like “wooaaahh I can’t wait to go back to classic because of the LFG tool!.”

I don’t understand why it’s such a big issue for some people, I honestly believe most people really, truly do not care about it at all, majority of people are just happy to be back in old azeroth playing the game, no one who truly cares about the games gives a crap if lfg is or isn’t in the game.

I’m right, and you can’t disprove me, so your only move is to attack me rather than the argument.

Notice this is what all you “pro-lfg” players are doing right now.

None of you can actually argue pro-lfg, none of you can actually come up with an argument with why it should be in the game.

There is none, this is because your desire for LFG is not born from a desire for what’s “best for the game”, the desire for LFG comes from a “what’s best for me!” perspective.

This is why pro-lfg players can never find a real argument for WHY lfg should be in the game, they’ll come up with a lot of noise however, they’ll attack and make fun of people who don’t care about lfg, they’ll make jokes about “muh community” and make reddit posts for days cherry picking screenshots from LFG chat.

But they’ll NEVER come up with decent, solid argument, as to why LFG is good for the game, none, it’ll never happen, because THERE ARE NONE, any argument as to why LFG should be added to the game is dreamt up AFTER the desire for LFG has taken root.

This means you need to INVENT an argument as to why LFG is good for the game after the fact, but you can’t, you can’t think of any solid reason to why it’s needed.

This is why so much rhetoric around LFG arguments never actually involves any factual arguments or debating, it’s just a bunch of idiots with a desire trying to be fulfilled, attempting to use language to receive the thing they want, the only way they can hope to achieve said outcome without a solid argument is by resorting to lowly tactics like shaming others, gaslighting, blackmail, exaggerating and inventing fake scenarios etc etc.

Like I always said, I’m fine with LFG being in the game, it’s a non-issue to me, I like the game just find, some stupid tool isn’t a make or break deal for me.

My problem with LFG is entirely with the rabid pro-lfg crowd and the disgusting debate tactics I have to constantly witness them using.

I stopped trying to reason with you like 50 posts ago when it became clear that nothing I said actually mattered to you. But here are a few reasons to include RDF:

• Forming groups on small servers without RDF is nearly impossible. Blizzard shuttered over half their US-based realms yesterday because of this. The remaining small realms are still shrinking, and will continue to shrink so long as they don’t have cross-realm dungeons.
• Forming groups without RDF even on large servers can take hours. Players today do not have hours, and so in many cases, we don’t get to play the dungeons we want to.
• Staring at an interface panel for an extended period of time is not fun or compelling gameplay. Currently, and without RDF, this is the primary way we are expected to find a group
• It is prohibitively difficult to engage with the open world while looking for a group without RDF. This means it is often too difficult to do things such as questing or farming mats while looking for a group, confining players to non-activities such as sitting in places like cities while we wait.

RDF will solve all of these issues, and more.

Forming groups on large servers does not take hours, I do not care what you say, I play on big servers and small servers, I’ve played on benediction, Arugal, and Felstriker, I make groups and I join groups, NEVER have i had to spend “hours” putting a group together, this is part of the pro-lfg “exaggeration” aspect that I cannot stand.

The OG developers specifically made this game to operate as much like a real world as possible, they wanted no loading screens and minimal interface interaction that take you “out” of the game, tools that play the game for you and allow you to skip travel and automate processes and serve to remind you that you’re just playing a game are very anti-classic.

It is not difficult to play the game and look for a group at the same time any more than it’s difficult to walk to school while you talk on the phone.

The new LFG tool pretty effectively takes a person out of the game for an extended period by requiring them to constantly monitor an interface panel in order to find a group. Wouldn’t an appropriate way to define what is “Classic” for WotLK be to consider what was in the authentic, original, true-to-form WotLK? Like, by definition, that is what it means for something to be the classic version of something.

I’d be happy that progress is being made toward re-creating the original, authentic version of WotLK, though I would still advocate for a more faithful replication. There are changes I wish they had incorporated in the original version of WotLK in 2007. But in 2022, I don’t trust Blizzard to make appropriate decisions to change anything. There’s too great a risk that they’ll mess something up through poor decision making as we’ve witnessed with many of the announced changes.

Scenario…all level 17’s. none have done their ye old kill 2 hours of collect flight masters yet. no locks.

1 dwarf wants to see dwarf story.
1 night elf wants see old elf land (dragon then horde trashed, this was me on hunter, I wanted to see the nice elf land)
1 draenei is chilling on space goat island.
1 human in elwynn
1…gnome. close to the dwarf…kind of.

all 5 want a dungeon Its mines.

How does our wayward band of misfits get together for this?

the space goat and night elf take boats to menethi,l walk for 30 minutes. catcha tram, then jog to mines. Being nice…they don’t die to make it longer to marsh crokolisks.

gnome and dwarf a little jog to catch the tram. then a jog to mines.

and the human…can literally rp walk it from SW to mines and get there before the space goat has caught the auberdine boat to menethil.

I’ve done the menethil march a few times. once done…I don’t go back. No point… 15 to 30 your are mines then stocks for hits. DPS spot sniping happens alot when it takes you 20 minutes to get there you see.

good thing the human animation is yawning…its quite fitting as they will be bored as hell for at least 45 minutes.

My pro lfd in full stance is that level 17 space goat seeing 10 ads for mines, no locks…so they can’t do any of them. with a response time to be onsite in less that 20 minutes (once they get flight paths to skip the marsh death march bit).
