Just ban RMT.

I’d love to hear some of your anecdotes!

I don’t run GDKPs, I’m not skilled enough to carry and I’m having too much fun raiding with my guild to be a carry.

I do have a pretty good story about a midget I met in Mexico, however.

You can do them again on another character, but there are other farming methods for gold. It’s pretty silly to assume anyone with over 100g bought it. Raw gold has to be farmed at some point, and people are able to do that.

Across 9 characters I have 144g.

I got this selling whites and greens I found as well as 2 blues from SFK.
Quests at 25
and selling mats/crafted goods on the AH

I suck at farming and I have that much gold. Imagine how much somebody like a mage who can AoE farm could legitimately farm.

Can you or anyone for that matter provide me a specific example of how GDKP’s affect your gameplay BESIDES the whole “GDKP’s cause inflation” statement?

That’s the thing. My issue with GDKPs is that I don’t have a free character to use and they never make as much as I l’d hope when I do.

GDKPs have been a thing in classic since pretty much the start, its no surprise there in SoD, there have been posts for now 5 years from the vocal minority that dont like them, but clearly there isnt an issue with them if theyve been going for this long, also if you dont like them, just dont join them, theres plenty of other sr or ms/os runs where 1 of the healers leaves after kelris (salt because thats happened to me the last 3 ms/os runs ive done), and if anyone says “INFLATION” only in the gdkps, everywere else things are actually cheaper because of bots farming things down to be only a few copper above vendor price (for most things). The arguments people have against gdkps are paper thin at best and out right wrong at worst.

Mass bots grinding up everything, buying rare vendor items on a timer, overall making the game look and feel like trash with characters flying through the air and spamming dungeons.

For people who actually love the game, it ruins it for us.

What in the world do GDKP’s have anything to do with bots and fly hacking? I already know your answer to your question because of other responses I have seen. GDKP’s arent your issue here whether people in them buy gold or not. GDKP’s happen with and without people buying gold it makes no difference. It is the equivalent of saying “ban the AH because it promotes gold buying and selling” but I dont hear any of you GDKP haters saying that do I. Kinda weird.

If you refuse to accept the inherit connection i can understand your need to keep using the prescripted arguments about the AH that the gold sellers have given you in order to protect the business.

No, lets face it you just dont like people doing GDKP’s for other reasons that I have listed in another thread and are pushing your hate for GDKP’s to align with “bots and gold selling/buying is because of GDKPS!”. You and your other closed minded friends share the same tactics, and you have all yet to argue facts. So at this point, like others you are just admitting to being a hypocrite lol.

Oh you know why I don’t like GDKP runs? The truth of it all, with facts and evidence to back up your assumptions.

Thats whats up, good job.

I hope they keep getting reported. I dont care about your reasons for paying gold to get gear.

The community is showing that they dont want it in the game.

UP YOURS YOU PATHETIC GATHERERS.

I mean on crusader strike, 1 quest reward is enough to pay for a bfd raid worth of consumes including a chronoboon

This is definitely what separates some of the anti / pro GDKP crowd.

Almost no chance that either of those numbers are accurate.

It is almost certainly higher than 15% and lower than 80%.

I’ll give you 2% may be a bit low, but 80% is still way too high, even in the survey that was was done on a small sample size only 40% said the ybought gold and those people are the type who are likely to buy gold (people who watch streams and thus have more engagement with the game) so I would peg it at maybe 5%-40%

See I think if it was much higher then 5% you would run into situations where two buyers ran into each other and bid wars would happen for huge amounts of gold. instead by all reports of pots I have seen and what things have gone for (except the CLAIMED 800g staff that has no verification) has gone for pretty cheaply.

I think most people just aren’t showing their hand, yet. The gold is being purchase en masse, without question. It is simply being saved for later phases.

The bots wouldn’t be out of control if the RMT wasn’t out of control.

And when the hands are revealed, it will be inside a GDKP.

Are you sure it is being purchased? Because from what I have heard the price of gold keeps going down, meaning that as time goes on the bots have a huge surplus that they are trying to get rid of before they get banned.

If gold was being bought en masse like you suggest the price would remain flat or even raise if demand outstripped supply.

My thought is that bots are doing all this farming now so they will be ready for Phase 2 when real mounts will be on sale and people are gonna need a bunch of gold to get them, plus leveling professions to 225 (or whatever Blizzard decides to cap it at) and power leveling services.
