We need a GDKP interface built into the game, complete with a shop option to instantly purchase gold for IRL money! Also in the shop purchasable world buffs!
No but in all seriousness GDKP’s are causing more harm than good now with 90%+ of them being tainted with RMT’ed gold.
We should ban them for the health of SoD or else RMT is only to get worse with later phases and become an epidemic like in Era and WotLK.
There’s not a single item in BFD that goes for more G than you could make in a day or two doing quests at max level. RMT is an issue, but it’s not unique to GDKPs, is baked into the token system in other versions of the game, and is nowhere near as commonplace as you think it is in SoD.

I sold elixirs and potions and made over 100g in a day the first week sod was out.
I did all the quests and made another 200g.
runs ive been in and do have a 25 min bid for epics. Never seen one go for over 100. I’ve seen the mail legs from 3rd boss go for more than the staff in a run. Your anecdotes are as useful as mine.
Bound to happen, its unlikely you will agree with someone 100% of the time.
Experience with GDKP’s from Era/TBC/WotLK the same is likely true with SoD or will be with later phases.

I can’t argue however my personal anecdotal experience is limited to TBCC.
And that was awful. But 90%? I’m thinking nah because MS/OS, SR and other loot methods are still advertised and used. People don’t want to be tainted can choose to run another distribution system.
I still believe that Blizz has the ability to monitor and bans have been going out.
It got ALOT worse in WotLK, ALOT.
Thankfully this is still plentiful, but it’s highly likely more GDKP’s are going to be happening as we get into the next phase and later. It’s already bad when you see 1 MS>OS for every 4-5 GDKP’s on WotLK servers.
Thankfully they have been. I’m worried about how it will be when/if there is a influx of GDKP’s will they still be able to keep it up.
Yeah I know and it’s why I only run with my guild in LK.
TBCC was not my favorite content and I sat out for a while. Returned before LK to catch up and ran pugs to gear up two different characters and that was wild enough for me.

RMT not a big deal. stats in other games show that it’s just a few whales that support the whole dang thing. so you got like 100 hyper rich whales doing RMT. big whoop. GDKP is fine. you are just resentful that some GDKPs rejected you. that’s the crux of the matter

Alas, you are too late. Blizzard has confirmed that - in principle - GDKP is a valid (if unsupported) means of loot distribution.
Let’s not pretend that a very sizeable portion of players aren’t buying gold. I’m guessing that that % is even higher in GDKPs. Maybe not on the close order of, but definitely on the order of 90% of GDKPs involve bought gold.
