Is because no one plays it. And there are only a handful of good ones.

You’re probably going to get flamed and this may be bait but I’ll bite. I think that Survival is being slept on, It’s definitely good spec.
Survival is generally strong but a lot of folks don’t like the lore or whatever lol.
Other than been a Oxymoron of its name it’s an awsome spec that pumps damage.
Surv would be strong if DH didn’t exist.

I have a hard time playing a DH over survival; DH is all jerky jerky spastic and it kind of suits the whole toxic player that usually plays it type vibe; where survival is just cool with a neat kind of counter hit / blast at the right time burst.
To each their own though I guess 
SV has been in a good spot most of the season. While I think the 4 set is a bit clunky, we have a decent burst with not a lot of ramp up time. That said, like a bunch of specs, it’s the outliers that are making it tough to climb. The increased health pools and healer trinket change though didn’t help.
Surv doesn’t feel like a hunter. It is a melee spec. It actually with the playstyle of the polearms and the staves, feels more like you are playing on a monk than you are a hunter. I don’t play it simply because it does not feel like what a WoW hunter should be. Some people love it and excel at it. Cant even remember the last time I’ve come across one in one of my keys or in any form of PvP. They are there, but are rare.
That’s how it goes when BM is better and easier.

I don’t think anyone believes Surv is bad.
Survival used to be the anti melee, melee. Doesn’t feel like that anymore
I wish surv had throwing axes still 
Survival looks fun but it seems like there is a lot going on with them when it comes to abilities.
You know what makes surv better at least in ss? That even when I freedom them on every harpoon cd, healers dont move ever so they get trapped anyways. This is the frost mage effect just like healers never dispell frostbomb, they never watchout for harpoon into trap so they both get free wins. But yea not many seem to play surv when bm does more damage at range.
Easiest spec should never be the best one

Survival is good but most hunter brains have turned into a mush after playing BM.
This is true, I geared my alt for BM just to see what it’s like. I’m losing games because I’m trying to do things instead of afkn and doing dmg lol.
Survival is definitely scary right now. Slept on big time.

For sure. When Dhs are slinging 13inches of meat, nobody thinks that 11 inches is big.
