You are saying that instead of just making the covenant abilities not bound to covenants, that people should have to make 4 characters and gear them up? How does that seem like the reasonable option? You are the one trying to force your way of playing on others not us.
I have learned to not comment directly to this particular OP, even when they simply comment b/c…well…it’s Ralph. They enjoy poking the bear, generally with no point other than to just spout off bs. It’s more a seeking attention where ever/how ever they can get it type. The title alone screams that.
The difference is faction/race/class are all semi-permanent and a hard choice on how you want to play the entire game. A rental/one off/expac only system should not be a choice like that.
But why not? I want the decisions I make to be hard choices. Something I have to consider. I’ve made my choice and I’ve chosen aesthetics and story. You seem to want you cake and eat it too. You’ll find once you’ve eaten the cake you’ll wonder where it went.
I want Blizz to focus on classes instead of bolting on yet another rented power system that will take up a considerable portion of their time while they try to fix it.
Class homogenizers are, in this context, the ones who don’t have a hat in the ring, for these forums. If the posters want druids nerfed or brez given to every healer, druids and dps are the ones who rise up in multitudes saying don’t homogenize me bro (warlocks and dks non withstanding).
I like hard choices where it makes sense in game. Such as my race or class. A covenant is a gang if you will. Once you’ve pledged to one the others won’t accept you unless you make a large sacrifice to prove yourself. That makes sense to me. Equipment and soulbinds to temporary allies can change more easily I would imagine.
Yes, because this is a video game. Generally people want to have fun when they play video games. Saying “if you want fun gameplay you have to look ridiculous” or “if you want to look good you have to put up with subpar, unfun gameplay” is the opposite of fun.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with how well received previous abilities like artifact/azerite power, corruptions, and how they replaced the glyphs with RNG equipment were.
A gang that will, as usual, be completely useless once the next expansion rolls around.
Or Blizzard could instead spend more time working on classes themselves, make them more fun to play, instead of spending half the expansion trying to balance fifty spinning wheels across all the abilities, soulbinds, and legendaries.
