In todays world
I can write a long letter. Enclose photos. Enclose documents. One button press and its there in a few seconds. Halfway across the world. Into ORBIT.
OR
I could laboriously hand write it all, stck it in an envelope, send it by smail mail and hope it doesnt disappear.
NO ONE has that kind of time to waste anymore. You dont send resumes by mail, you email them.
You dont send reports by mail, you send them electronically.
You dont buy stuff in stores, you order it online.
You dont buy games in shops (you can but you dont have to), you buy and download them.
You dont have to manually sign documents, they have whats called an e - signature.
In this day and age, time, even in leisure, is at an absolute premium.
The idea that in modern gaming, worthless and useless timesinks to extend time online to no real result are still a “good thing for an MMO” is as dead as the Dodo and for good reason.
Games these days use modern design that MAXIMISES potential, game design uses and incorporates flight, portals, teleports, to good effect. it can be done. it has been done.
And that is a topic we need to discuss with open minds and the ability to see both sides on’

I think the problem is that you don’t actually like being a part of an mmorpg and it’s world.
Yet other MMO’s dont seem to have the problems Blizzard is having.
Why is that, I wonder?
