Delay the game a few weeks and get your house in order. Doesnt have to be long. Just as long as it takes to brainstorm a viable solution and execute it.
This community WILL implode if the next two weeks keep escalating and the first 2-3 months of Wrath have 3-6 hour queues for all. Over on reddit even the Europeans are beginning to get mad, and those guys love doing what theyre told.
Do the prepatch event again if must be. Keep doing AV weekends. But Get your house in order. Get the paying players into the game before you decide to release the biggest MMO release of the decade. You only get one shot to launch a well working game.
We wanted to play fresh to get away from the billions in illegally farmed, sold, and boosted gold and the thousands of glaives bought by visa and not by working for them.
Many of us didn’t play TBC and would rather play fresh where we earn our loot.
I’m with ya sometimes but fresh is a special experience they did for a very particular reason. Saying “just play somewhere else” doesn’t really work in this case.
It’s just a bummer to see excellent fixes being made for the mega servers with great results… but for us they have essentially said… too bad so sad.
Nah, don’t delay it. There’s plenty of people who play this game who realize you don’t need to be on a mega server to have fun who don’t deserve to be punished.
Completely get where youre coming from. But even people who are getting into the game and are happily playing are now dealing with severe stability issues. In Europe the lag is so bad that people are complaining they can only do the quests that are basic kill mob quests. Nothing else works in game.
The game is not functional or accessible for far too many players world wide.
Some people being unaffected isnt proof that the game at large is in a playable state.
On the contrary, if the biggest servers, including the fresh servers that have no transfer options, are in an unplayable state, then by definition a significant amount of players are being affected.
Except 1. The non-mega servers greatly outnumber the mega servers and 2. not everyone’s experience on mega servers is unplayable. So no, you can’t say it’s a “significant amount of players”.
