You guys remember at the start of SL when every single post was a warlock having an absolute melt down over their class being “unplayable”.
Anyone else think the new warlock posters are the shaman posters it’s getting a little insane with the whole “I DIED THROUGH MY WALL TO A SINGLE MELEE CASTERS ARE SO BAD”

Ele shamans aren’t casters because they don’t have to cast anymore.
Does this mean melee aren’t melee since 95% of melee specs can deal 30-40k+ from around corners purely through dots/pets?
When ele stops doing 250k damage in less than a second from like 1 button press, the world might care about your “oNe DeFeNsIvE”.
You do DH damage from range.
Even under the best RNG circumstances, nothing on my toolbar will deal 250k from a single press. You die because you watch an Ele hardcast stormkeeper, throw prim wave, refresh flame shocks, drop a skyfury totem, then throw out 4-5 globals of lava bursts, lightning bolts, and finishing with an Earth shock. Maybe in those like 10-15 globals… Press something? Or hell, just line of sight?
Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention the obvious fire elemental, but that’s a given.

Except the hunt quite literally CAN do 250k with a single press. No matter how much ramp I throw behind my lava burst/lightning bolt/etc. It will never echo enough off a single press to do 250k. Are we going to disregard the fact that DH has the highest mobility in the game? Every single DR’d CC in the game? Permanent MS effect with zero effort? All damage cleaves everything in a 20 yard radius too, that’s fun.
You mean… Multiple GCDs back to back? Not a single button press. Even then. We have 10% crit. Goodluck getting that earth shock to crit.

Dicon would have you believe ele is beyond unplayable, yet there’s a good number of people succeeding with them in RSS (yuck) and actual 3’s. Also, they most certainly global you.
Still reminded of sitting pillar with flux and Murphy and unable to do anything into their “just pad” because it was insanely lethal.
