The new Guild UI and Permissions...yikes (Part 1)

As difficult as they made it to put a ticket in I can only imagine how difficult it would be to navigate their directory on the phone.

Datamine LinkedIN! https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/v2/?keywords=Blizzard%20Entertainment&origin=SUGGESTION

Better yet, search LinkedIn via a search engine: "director social blizzard linkedin" or "vice president blizzard". Get names, see if you can talk to people outside of the conduits we've been forced to use and that thus force us into silence.
Not sure why they changed this or who at Blizzard thought this was a good idea. Please revert it back!
BUMP!
Apparently thanking the blues for feedback will get a response.

Haha, I noticed that also. But who cares about guilds?
So, I've been offline for a couple of days because my husband "pushed the red button" on our modem and "broke" it. It's taken this long for our internet provider to call back and walk him through fixing it. And yet, they still responded faster than Blizzard. (*rim shot*)

I was going to go back and pull up another post from early pages, but first I wanted to read all the current posts I'd missed. And, well, I absolutely LOVE this recently posted idea from Venjin, so I'm going to repeat it now:

Suggestion: Implement Guild Rep mechanics for actual in-game factions that offer bonus rep gains with said factions after established requirements are met.

How we'd use it: To mitigate the dang rep grinds and give people a reason to stay in guilds.
This is simply brilliant. People have been complaining about rep grinds a good long while now. Giving players a way to earn bonus rep through their guilds is a terrific way to help players and guilds. And Venjin even states in his suggestion "after established requirements are met" so it's not a request for a hand-out, just a path to easier reputation gains.

Definite thumb's up from me, Venj,

How come my character doesn't show up in the guild roster in game? And is there a way to make it show?

Edit: Ah nvm, hide offline mode works in guild too hehe, didn't know that, smart thinking blizz except if somebody clicks on your character it shows you're online. Oh well, good try anyways.

You do show up in /groster however.

Back on topic though... REVERT! Nobody asked for a bad version of Discord.
Checking in again to make sure my voice is heard. Everyone contributing to this discussion needs to keep doing so. So far we've been ignored.

As of right now, I haven't assigned anyone in our guild with the "Is Officer" box since there are certain permissions I will not assign to anyone in the guild, regardless of rank. As a result of this, nobody in the guild has access to any of those eight privileges since they're all lumped together in a one-size-fits-all definition of an officer.

Please give us the individual permission customization we had prior to patch 8.0. That's it. That's all I'm asking for.

For further recommendations to help guild management, add a complete log/record system for the guild bank so the guild master can keep track of cumulative records on gold deposits, gold repairs, gold withdraws, item deposits, and item withdraws. If WoW developers can create and maintain a statistics tab with all kinds of totally useless information for my character, they can add a simple feature that lets me keep track of a few guild bank records. That would actually help guilds. Many other recommendations have already been made in this thread.

Please address this problem sooner than later. This thread began on July 17. We're now at September 28 and we're seven weeks into BfA content. I'm not asking for an apology. Just revert the permissions change. That's it. Many people have already given detailed explanations and feedback here over these 81 pages. You have what you need, and the "discussion" has already occurred. Read it, and pass the information along to the next group of people who need to make the correction. Failure to do so will just further the stereotypes of poor communication at Activision Blizzard.

I will continue to check in here until the change is made. Everyone else needs to do so, too.
Maybe today is the day.
Blizzard.

If the Senate actually confirms a certain beer-drinkin', lewd-behavior judge to the SCOTUS today, they will have demonstrated a clear ability to actually DO SOMETHING FASTER THAN YOU DESPITE IMMENSE OBSTACLES AND OPPOSITION.

This means you are less efficient than Congress. Think about that.
Making a guild in WoW today
Takes everything you got.

Making your ranks how you want them,
It sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like the older way?

Sometimes you want a guild
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came

You want to be where you can see
The guild ranks aren't inane
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

You want to go where players know
The guild masters aren't insane
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

*Cheers to those who recognize where this is from :)

Obviously the Villain Pub from HISHE.
Blizzard:

I am:

Still not gone

Still not forgetting.

Still upset!!

I am not:

Happy with my guild in it's current state.

I am NOT:

Impressed with Blizzard's idea of customer "service" in this specific matter.

I am NOT

A satisfied customer.

What I said many many (many) pages ago still stands as true:

I WILL NOT go away

I am tired of (all of us) being ignored.
Never gonna give this up,
Never gonna let this down.

Never gonna turn around,
and not bump you.

Never gonna stop my cries,
Never gonna say goodbye.

Never gonna hear replies,
From Blizzard.

Blizzard,

Your lack of response to this thread confirms that you believe X-Men 3: Last Stand is a superior film compared to Deadpool.

Maybe today is the day.

Not likely... they definitely seem to be taking the 'if we ignore them long enough, they'll stop asking" approach to this...
Also not going away...home all day every day. I can stay on this , for all the guilds in WOW. WE DEMAND A RESPONSE! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
