The new Guild UI and Permissions...yikes (Part 1)

Same, “master” squicks me out. I’ll also accept Guild Manager, which, honestly, is sort of what it feels like some days.

Oh look, here’s Kiper in another thread trying to start arguments, and offer absolutely nothing of value to the discussion!

They are here to trap people. They cause an argument, then they and their discord cabal mass flag posts for trolling and get people kicked off the forum.

Better to just ignore them… but I sure won’t!

Do you exist only to act like this? How vile.

lol nonsensical comment

More hate from Kiper. And somehow, they continue to say things like this with zero repercussions. I wonder why…

Yet here you are, posting in a thread you know nothing about… on a topic you claim to not even care about. Then why don’t you just keep your toxicity to yourself?

GL = Guild leader
GM = Game Master

Referring to the person running the guild as the guildmaster’ or ‘guild manager’ introduces the potential for unnecessary and avoidable confusion.

Exceptions made for classics!

The sad thing I know is that this still will not be fixed prior to the next anniversary of this thread and Ion’s promise.

So, big patch tomorrow. Anyone think there will be any guild improvements? I mean, the original removal of granular permissions happened without forewarning, so there could be a stealth change…

Yeah. Okay. I’m low on sleep and it’s affecting my thought processes. Time for bed.

Didn’t notice any. Putting band-aids on some of the addons I use because some global strings vanished and they don’t really publish changelogs anymore so, um, “surprise”?

what do you expect from a game that’s so out of touch with it’s player base and it’s communication between devs and players so far removed?

Complicated migraines.

EDIT: OOoo, neat. “Automatically removed quote of whole previous post.” I think they’re reinforcing your point.

Yeah. If you comment right below a post, it won’t quote the whole thing. You have to highlight it and leave out the punctuation or something if you want to quote it. (Kinda hate these “new” forums.)

You cant answer that honestly cuz TOS.

Its more typical Blizz devs though. Its like they dont play their own game

Can also do something like < blank> (minus the space in there) and a space after, as that is considered different but visually identical.

That said, yeah the autorewrite thing for quoting is mainly just a pain.

Hmm. If this thread is going to degenerate into complaints of all sorts, I’ll bid my fond farewell to you all. Good luck!

Huh? I don’t think it’s degenerating. At least not more than it already has been. But, of course, you do what you think is best, Che. I hope your guild is having fun with the new content/dungeon.

I guess I should add: Blizz, please fix our granular permissions, thanks.

My gold gametime purchase is up soon, so here’s one last request for granular permissions.

I really don’t think they’re ever going to fix this. The Microsoft deal looks like it’s going to go through, then… who knows what will happen with WoW? Granular permissions? I wish.

I’m not going to stop posting here (unless they close the thread or fix the permissions), but that’s only because I’m stubborn, not because I think it’ll do any good.

So… was going to give Fumel a chance to comment again, but when I tried to change character, it just showed my battletag. Is this a new thing now, or a bug? I guess I could look at the rest of the forums and see if anyone else is complaining.

I mean, I’ve never hid the fact that I’ve been switch between my two accounts to post here, but I’m not thrilled by the idea of only having one character to post on. I like to use characters that are relevant to the topic. When this thread started, Fumel was my only Guild Leader, but Brahmina is my main.

More on topic: I’m feeling a little annoyed that Blizz can put effort into colorizing icons, but breaking up the guild permissions–which Ion claimed they WERE working on–is too much to ask.

I refreshed my browser in case mine might not be using the latest forum, but I don’t see battletag for me when switching by clicking the character portrait by the three dots on the top right and then change character there.
