Since I’m coming here more as a support group, I guess I will share that against all odds, one of our core 6 is returning soon, bringing our active founding member count to:
-
At least it’s given Grahams some hope to want to play again, because she’s on the verge of ending it all.
Please announce returning guild permissions.

This is way better news than announcing that someone has left.
Grats!
I don’t know if we should hope that guild permissions will get a fix by 8.3, but I’m still going to keep my fingers crossed.

Here I am again, posting to keep the thread alive and to remind Blizzard we still want the permissions fixed. I haven’t forgotten Ion saying they’re aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
None of you there in Irvine should imagine that just because posts here have slowed to a trickle, we’ve accepted the status quo. People want to assign permissions as they see fit. One-size-fits-all is for T-shirts and mu-mu’s, not guilds.
I’m looking forward to the guild finder changes coming soon. I hope I can look forward to other guild improvements as well. How about it, Blizz?

Truth.
I for one have not gone away Blizzard, nor do I accept the status quo.
I am merely watching and waiting because
I am looking forward to said fix.
A little good news is much better than no good news!
For me
is better news.
Please fix the permissions Blizz.

Please, please, yes. More options. Also Master Loot.

Ion has identified player agency as a goal for Shadowlands hopefully the guild permissions will be addressed and corrected, though based on the length and age of this thread it is unlikely.
Blizzard please prove me wrong.

I don’t think this thread’s age has much bearing on whether or not we get granular permissions. It just shows that the problem is harder to fix than we assume–or that it’s not a major priority. Personally, I think it’s a combination of those things.
I agree that if greater player agency is a goal for Shadowlands, it would be a glaring inconsitency not to fix the permissions.
I’m actually hoping for a fix in 8.3. I know, call me crazy, but they do plan to launch the new guild finder before that. I don’t see why we can’t get some major guild love in the next patch.

/sigh
I’m wreaking my brain for more “feedback” to give Ion, but we’ve already given far more than the devs could ever use. I’d love to have guild halls, more guild perks, and ways that small guilds can still earn rewards, but I’ll happily settle for granular permissions for now. Is it really too much to ask for something we used to have before communities broke it?

I’m still sitting back, stroking my imaginary fu manchu and nodding my head in silent disappointment for every day that passes without a resolution.

I’m more or less resigned to there being no resolution outside of a major patch or expansion launch. I really don’t want to wait that long, but the problem is apparently much more complicated than we’ve assumed. I refuse to believe that Ion flat-out lied when he said they were working on the issue, though I must confess my faith probably has no bearing on reality.
We’re supposed to get the new guild finder sometime during 8.2.5. I can only hope that granular permissions will be coming soon after that. I feel like fixing whatever issue is interfering with the guild finder will lead the way to fixing the permissions.

Every day I check out the permissions just in case there’s been a stealth fix. Am I crazy or just not very bright?
I’m seeing some cool things coming up in 8.3, but no information on guilds. Of course, I don’t really hunt for WoW news on the interwebs, I just mostly look around this site and occasionally check out Wowhead.
Still, it would be nice to see some hint that we’ll be getting a permissions fix and/or some of the other improvements we’ve mentioned in this thread. I’m still looking forward to the new guild finder.

Leaving for my brother’s funeral, which is tomorrow. May not be posting for a few days (on either Fumel or Brahmina).
Blizzard, don’t you dare take my “silence” as I sign I’m okay with the permissions and guild controls as they are. It’s just a sign that your stupid game isn’t the most important thing in the world. Which should be a hint to you that ignoring your players isn’t really in your best interest.
Do what Ion said you’ve been doing and fix the permissions.

So sorry to hear this Fumel, my condolences.
While I haven’t been posting here, I am still checking in and am so very disappointed each time I do. I’m honestly surprised that guilds and guild health are not more important to blizz… I appreciate your efforts in keeping this going.

So sorry to hear this. Take all the time you need. You and your family are more important than wow.
Ancestors watch over you. /salute

I would love to be able to mass kick, mass promote/demote again, with a big guild it’s hard to that manually when is necessary.

Brahmina is hawt.
Fix the permissions.
I am in no way related to Venjin. He is a Troll. I am clearly a Tauren, and superior in PvP in every way, shape, and form.

Please restore permissions so that I may create a special rank for Stormtusk where all he can do is whine about nerfing Pallies.
