Now Blizzard. Can you tell all of the nice Guild Leaders here what the following statements all have in common? Take your time, and read them slowly and carefully to yourself:

Now Blizzard. Can you tell all of the nice Guild Leaders here what those statements all have in common?
Dude, come on. I’d quote Ion but he doesn’t post on the forums. Give us something dude. It’s been damn 6 months since the issue started. Hell, it’s been 5 months since the last time we’ve gotten an update.
Is it really because you don’t have anything to say or are y’all just brushing us under the rug?
What happened to that better communication y’all said you were going to do?
Liars. That’s the only thing I can think of. I don’t know what else to call someone who says they are going to do something and then not do it.
I really don’t even know why we have more than 1 or 2 CM’s for the whole forum. They could drop all of them except for the Customer Support CM’s and we wouldn’t notice a difference.
You can’t tell us with a straight face that you’ve forgotten this thread Blizz. We’ve bumped it enough that we know you’ve seen it. Say SOMETHING. ANYTHING!
It’s a good thing I trust my Veterans. Because of this stupid change I’ve been forced to make that rank the same as an officers just so a chosen few can invite characters. I can’t imagine how this works in large less cohesive groups.
Sauron, eternal enemy of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth, servant of Morgoth, the deceiver and despoiler of all that is good and green, has better communication than anybody at Blizzard at this point.
Sauron was in constant communication with his lieutenants, who in turn made his will known to his subjects. They knew exactly what was up and what the endgame was. He even told his enemies that he was coming.
C’mon Bliz. You used to be better than this.
At this point, I’m fit to pull a Bethesda and demand an essay from you stating why you think I should continue to pay for your product.
The Emperor of Mankind, Eternal within the Golden Throne, Enshrined for Time Immortal has better communication with his people and he’s a gd friggin’ vegetable
And at least HE lets his Marines operate their chapters with customized degrees of command structure.
Whenever this thread (and Blizzard’s lack of response to it) puts me in the deepest despair, along comes Venjin to make me laugh. Thanks, bud. I needed that.
Checking in again to make sure my voice is heard. Everyone contributing to this discussion needs to keep doing so. So far we’ve been ignored.
As of now, I haven’t assigned anyone in our guild with the “Is Officer” check box since there are certain permissions I will not assign, regardless of rank. As a result of this, nobody in the guild has access to any of those eight privileges since they’re all lumped together in a one-size-fits-all definition of “an officer,” as defined by some Activision Blizzard employee.
Please give us the individual permission customization we had prior to patch 8.0. That’s all I’m asking for.
For further recommendations to help guild management, add a complete log/record system for the guild bank so the guild master can keep track of cumulative records on gold deposits, gold repairs, gold withdraws, item deposits, and item withdraws. If WoW developers can create and maintain a statistics tab with all kinds of totally useless information for my character, they can add a simple feature that lets me keep track of a few guild bank records. That would actually help guilds and their leaders. Many other recommendations have already been made in this thread.
Please address this problem sooner than later. This thread began on July 17, 2018. We’re now at January 3, 2019. I’m not asking for an apology. Just revert the permissions change. That’s it. Many people have already given detailed explanations and feedback over the MANY pages here.
You have what you need, and the “discussion” has already occurred. Read it, and pass the information along to the next group of people who need to make the correction. Failure to do so will just further the stereotypes of poor communication and the apparent growing disregard for the gaming community at Activision Blizzard.
I will continue to check in here until the change is made. Everyone else needs to do so, too.

Yeah, I don’t know. Apparently not enough people have been talking about this, or else not in enough places, to really get Blizz’s attention. We’ve certainly been talking about it long enough.
What gets me is why can’t someone from Blizz just tell us one way or the other if they’re going to do something about this. If they want to fix it in some way, but don’t have time or resources right now (or something else is preventing an immediate fix), they could just say something like, “We do have plans for guild improvements, but there’s no timetable on implementing them.”
Yeah, maybe that would stir the pot, but at least it would be a response.
