Me too, I highly reccomend an 15-18% haste minimum and then the remainder dedicated to crit/verse
The only reason I itemized for more haste is because I got lucky with trinkets this season and they support more haste (specifically pips gives me a hefty chunk of vers or crit — and it seems that Pips might have some preferential buffs, I.e. it seems to buff what you dedicate your secondaries to more, like I definitely think I get the crit and vers procs more than the mastery buff) and therefore could afford to drop some vers for haste.
For most people, I think they will still see the most hps/convenience with a very high crit/vers build
I agree. While i like the simplicity of the new one, looking like a Chinese inspired art cloud, the name change would have been the first line personally i would have wanted to see changed.
Yea this would be cool and as much as we rag on Faeline Stomp, with QoL changes it’s actually a great spell
Would be nice to introduce some flavor by letting monks choose “their celestial”
I think how monk can grow as a class moving forward is recognizing that the Celestials shouldn’t be limited to a specific role (yulon healing, xuen dps, Niuzao tank) but rather, opening them up to be a class relationship, yulon having a Misty heal but also a crackling lightning breath for dps. Niuzao has a deadly stomp but also a mighty stagger that can soak damage for the team. Xuen has deadly claws but could also buff the team with haste or something.
Would be nice to have the Celestials be more incorporated into all 3 roles of monk in different ways
You can see them wanting something like this with the class capstones but it’s just a lesser iteration that needs improving
Meh idk what they’re thinking with Jade fire stomp as the graphic has nothing Jade fire about it…
It looks very “Aztec snakey” as someone else has described it and I agree. It looks very Aztec snakey and that doesn’t match with monk at all and neither does it reflect “Jadefire” which to me would have much softer kinds of lines rather than the very rigid new snake design
I like the idea of Jade fire but it needs to be attached to a LIVING STATUE effect where the Jade serpent statue comes to life temporarily from using chi to breath Jade fire on enemies and Allie’s
There is nothing Jade firey about the new Faeline stomp
Plus they could’ve at least addressed the issues with the shape. That it doesn’t extend behind you (and maybe beside you) so if you use it when you’re already in melee the whole palm tree ends up in narnia and if you backpedal you’re already out of it.
Haste only provides some marginal benefits for a direct damage to healing rotation whereas crit and Vers benefit all builds way more
Otherwise having too much haste makes all your normal heals weak and new player will burn through mana trying to top people off
The easiest FW build to heal with is Awakened Feiline / Sheilun’s Gift / Legacy of Wisdom is like more healing than you’ll ever need to learn fistwevaing and with a faster sheiluns cast from Legacy of Wisdom, just having crit/vers on that is massive plus crit/vers is super strong for damage healing too
Haste reduces the cd of rsk bro. It lowers your gcd. Having ~30% haste is a mw absolute #1 priority. Then crit is #2 until you get to ~35%, then vers. But always use questionablyepic for gearing matters
Monk used to have a few jadefire abilities back in the day. And one of the bosses in ToJS uses jadefire. I wish blizz would return some of those abilities, or add new ones.
Jadefire is cool but doesn’t belong with Faeline stomp
Jadefire would make more sense from you know…. The dragon statue (dragons n fire breath and all)
Previously Recommended Addition to MW/ Living Chi - Casting Renewing Mist and every 3 ticks of SooM grant a stack of living Chi. At 10 stacks, the Jade Serpent Statue comes to life and breathes Jade fire on enemies and Allies before reverting back to stone.
Also wouldn’t mind having the Breath of Yuulon talent be reworked into a channeled frontal heal that would be cool to breath a cone of Jade fire (a mistweaver breath of fire)
In MoP, we do see Liu Flameheart using green flames (y’know, after she uses regular flames). The Yu’lon world boss on Timeless Isle also reflects “Jade Fire” skills. Yet, fast forward to BFA, Jade Fire becomes a combination of Monk and Mage in the Jadefire Master encounter.
Also, we can certainly appreciate how close it looks to a combination of Incinerate and Cataclysm here:
Jadefire is just the name of the tribe. There was nothing in that link that the magic they use is called Jadefire. Unless im missing something in the article.
Or any mention of Warlocks explicitly. Just like the bfa stuff you mentioned. My reply was to what warlocks used. not if another class potnetially used something that could be Jadefire.
