The new Faeline is the wrong color

Hey guys can the devs please make the new Faeline stomp themed after Chiji instead of Yuulon?

Clearly the new Faeline has a jade serpent kind of vibe but this thematically and mechanically doesn’t make sense for Monk.

Faeline stomp needs to be red, orange, pink, and purple, and not green. Also please consider cherry blossom petals, crane feathers, and sparkles when using melee abilities on the Faeline while Chi ji is active — as that would be so cool. Faeline stomp clearly belongs to Chi ji celestial not Yuulon.

Chi ji is the spin to win celestial, the fistweaver, the bonus speed, crazy hyper active screeching bird boy empowering your melee kicks and stirring up rising gusts of mists with your fists of fury, running around like a madman to your Allie’s and healing them, buffing them with the Spirit of the Crane too. When chi ji is active, his magical crane powers cause everyone to be chi infused fighters.

Yuulon — Yuulon is the Jade Serpent Statue / mistweaver / clouded focus / tear of morning celestial, creating juicy soothing mist cleaving Misty healing gusts of chi, filling the battlefield with glowing green clouds, overflowing the room with mists that heal and invigorate champions as the monk dances with the serpent channeling their own soothing mist in zen meditation

Woot- lets debate the color of a spell!

anyone who thinks we should have anything besides SL color stomp is wrong.

I would prefer if they kept the Faeline Stomp the same color, or changed the name to fit a new color. Change it to Celestial Stomp and let us glyph what color we want to match the Celestial of our choice.

Design is ok.
I would like Blizzard to make it more visible, increase the pattern density to about the same as the fae design, make the color tone stand out slightly more or indicator option on the player (currently using a WA).
Impactful sound effect would be nice

OP I don’t disagree with you but I think it’s better off as a glyph, like how you can alter the color of Jade Lightning.

Make it red/orange and you’ll spend the first month explaining tanks not to run out of it.

Through the years that I’ve seen these topics discussed. It goes to glyphs. The small supply of glyphs is super annoying.

Mistweavers use Faeline stomp too… you know that yes? Lmao

So then, if they changed it to red / orange / pink / purple, it wouldn’t be thematic for mistweavers.

Since you were unable to come to this conclusion for yourself, I think you should let the thread take over for ideas lmao.

Here’s one, call it Celestial Stomp, and have it change colors depending on the spec. Like paladin’s class mount changes based on the spec.

If youre MW, it can be green; WW, pink; Brewmaster (if they get it? I think they do), yellow.

Voila.

While I agree in concept. Why on earth would WW be pink?

Being a scribe myself … I wish more glyphs existed … there were like a grand total of 3 this xpac I think.

idk. They said it in the op lol.

I guess because Chi-Ji is pinkish?

The normal tier set is based around that too, so it’s not totally unfounded haha.

one day… one day… i will wake up on a patch day to see there’s a new glyph for shaman’s chain heal that makes it green again. And i’ll weep

What do you expect Blizzard doesn’t know anything about Monks at this point guessing they fired all the people who did during all their lay-offs like our tier looks trasher then ever and the Monk Trading Post armour just didn’t fit the monk fantasy at all.

Oooo I love this debate.

I’ll be there with you! (Also play shaman. I like a challenging life apparently )

They matched the color of stomp to the rest of the healing spells. It fits the spec perfectly imo.

Just make the color selectable via glyph.

What color is Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane?

Mistweavers use yuulon not chi ji — that is kind of the crux here: Chiji benefits melee abilities, melee abilities are empowered by the Faeline — hence the Faeline should be chi ji themes not yuulon themed

The statue / soothing mist archetype is Yuulon’s but the active blasty Healy archetype is Chi ji so Faeline should reflect Chi ji

If you go around popping yuulon on top of your Faeline and still use SCK that weird and counter productive to the mechanics (clear synergy between Awakaned Faeline and Chiji )

Ultimately it should be glyphs, but WW’s Celestial is Xuen, not Chi-ji, so it would be white with blue. Brewmasters don’t get it. And-

Mistweavers that use Ancient Teachings often use Faeline because as you said their melee abilities are empowered by the Faeline, allowing them to heal more with Ancient Teachings. You also have to be doing your DPS rotation to get full use of Chi-ji if you take him instead of Yu’lon as your Celestial, which you’re likely doing if you’re playing an Ancient Teachings build.

There are 3 monk specs but 4 celestials, Mistweaver is the only spec with a choice node for their Celestial, and it’s between Chi-ji, the red crane, and Yu’lon, the Jade Serpent. Like I said, the other colors should ultimately be added as glyphs, it would make sense for Faeline to be red over green. I wish their were more MW glyphs to turn spells Chi-ji red, not just Crackling Jade Lightning.

Edit: obligatory typo fixing
