yes, only a single point of energy but I cant confirm this for sure becaues there is is 2 layers of RNG here.
What I am doing to test is dran my energy down to next to zero, then auto attack is doing the job of proc’n the JoW.
What I am seeing is occasionally I will get an extra point of energy, Maybe this just a bug with energy? But I don’t seem to see it when not with a paladin.
Maybe its another buff or aura?
More testing needs to be done, to be sure.
what I am seeing for example if I am at 6 energy and RNG happens to be good I get 21 energy. Bug with base return? No idea.
Maybe its just some aura one one of the other classes causing this?
If im not mistaken how hp5/mp5 changing works in relation to energy is that if you change the aforementioned values you will receive energy. So if you have an Hp5 potion for example and then remove it, you will recieve your energy tic early. The percentage of energy is equal to the percentage of time between the energy tic. So changing the value at 40% of the way between the tic will give you 40% of the energy and your tic will start again at that point.
You do not gain any energy, you only receive your energy earlier at a portion of the tic amount. So with feral druids you can do this and be able to powershift into 2 shreds as opposed to 1 shred and wait for the full next tic for a new one. I do not know what benefit this poses to rogues.
You will also be unable to use any flasks or guardian elixirs doing this.
Ok that explanation makes sense, then perhaps this is a just some kinda bug with energy gains? I see occasionally +1 point not on its own tic, but in addition to the standard 20 energy.
So occasionally ill get 21 energy, not sure why this happens. (I am not presently spec’d into combat potency)
I cannot say for sure. I only know about the current information that is related to ferals. Might just be the value changing as you get your energy tic and you get +1.
That could be just the weird +/- 1 Energy bug that’s known.
Theoretically this could be a boon or bust for both classes depending on when the proc happened. If you’re about to get your next natural tic of 20 Energy, proc before it goes off, get an immediate 18 Energy, you could be stuck waiting ANOTHER tic to actually cast another ability.
Or the proc could happen shortly after a natural tic, grant you 4-6 Energy, and now you’re good to go for back to back Shreds before shifting.
