The most crude and easy fix to mythic+

After the last 2 seasons of DF, it’s nice that the timer poses an actual failure condition again.

Being able to full wipe twice and 2chest a 25 was dumb in DF S3.

There is a word for what you’ve done here, it is called “strawmanning.” Based on how blatantly you did it, you’ve probably heard the term but never understood the meaning, so do it often to help yourself pretend to be correct.

Even then, you screwed up.

So various skips use less effort? Even if you’ve done it perfectly and don’t wipe the group, you’ve wasted time in the setup of the group for no other reason than to manage a problem that the whole point of my post was to mitigate. Even the time spent setting up a pull route falls under “inefficient” when properly blasting trash can improve your timer.

You can word nitpick and strawman all you like, but the obvious premise of my post was that doing trash ceases to just become a timer drain. So the “efficiency” part of doing exactly 100% of force count goes out the window. With what I posted, you could drop force count altogether and make M+ only about racing the timer.

Thank god you’re not a game designer.

Some of the least favorite M+ dungeons have been the ones where the timer starts with the digit 4. While I can’t prove this definitively, I suspect there is an inverse correlation between the length of time a key takes and how much players like the dungeon in M+.

This significantly changes the challenge M+ offers. Part of the appeal for me is figuring out how to make the best use of the team’s resources knowing we can’t hang around waiting on a major cooldown for every pull (not just waiting 10 minutes for lust every time).

There’s a big difference between being indifferent to players beneath you and suggesting players beneath you doesn’t deserve reaching a certain achievement you find easy enough to obtain in week 1. People disdain elitists in many ways because of the latter, not because you aren’t going out of your way to help carry them.

I would love to see 3-5 minutes added to every dungeon, at least for 11 and below.

People want to tryhard at 12+, let them, but for everyone else, m+ SHOULD be a fun experience.

Look man.

I am not nitpicking.

You quoted the definition. You wanted to nitpick. I only showed how not killing trash you dont have to kill, having a path that avoids things you dont have to kill…

is efficient.

How am I strawmanning? I would love for you to lay it out. Please enlighten me.

This should’ve been done to offset Peril imo. The groups that are awful will still wipe and brick the key while the groups that have a few one-off deaths will be fine.

A straw man argument is a fallacy where someone sets up and attacks a position that is not being debated. The term refers to a scarecrow filled with straw, which is easily destroyed, as opposed to a logical opponent.

You literally made up this quote:

Then went on to totally irrelevant nitpicking

There is a key phrase in there that negates your whole idea.

Yes you are. Obviously, as the game is now, skipping trash properly, laying out routes blahblahblah, is more efficient. Occasionally risky. However I am not, nor was I ever, speaking of how the game is now. My post and this whole thread is about a potential change. Applying current mechanics to explain why a change specifically designed to target the issue without acknowledging that change is, to be polite, nitpicky.

Does the question “How would you feel if you didn’t eat breakfast yesterday?” confuse you?

you talk about pulling efficiently then downplay pulling efficiently.

your entire argument is a double standard.

I wasn’t making up a quote, but I was accurately summarizing your point

He’s trolling. Stop feeding him. It’s why he repeatedly replies to same person over and over and over again trying to get a response. He’s desperate for attention.

No I’m talking about modifying how it works entirely. I wish I was surprised you’ve still missed that.

There is no double standard. You just fail to understand that the standard served up to you by Blizzard isn’t the topic, nor was it my response.

You literally used quote marks. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Trolling is using an alt to respond to someone calling them a troll. If you don’t like me responding directly to criticisms, that’s a you problem.

I use an alt because there’s stalker types here that will whisper you in game about forum stuff.
I recommend you do the same.
