I think it’s laughably insane if you think you should have to turn xp on and off to get gear while playing in leveling BGs.
Not even a remotely rationale thing to expect anyone to have to do.

Is it laughably insane that they don’t use healing spell’s. , Call for help or guard nodes?
What does that have to do with anything I said? You have people who don’t play objectives or communicate at any level of PvP.
Then they don’t have the right to complain about being killed by a geared player.
And they don’t usually? I never see anyone complain about gear in lowbie BGs and I’ve made like 5 vulpera to play in the 20 bracket.
People complain mostly about hunters and arcane mages in the 20 bracket. edit: and the occasional party sync DH
This above comment actually makes no sense from a low level PvP perspective which is why I don’t think the OP was ever exclusively talking about lowbie PvP.
I constantly heard people talk about “twinks” but then you look the player up and they were just your average heirloom geared player. I have limited low level BG experience though.
Yeah I don’t think their are any real twins at lower levels. You level up too fast to justify farming for gear + depending on the bracket one class dominates over others.
20-40 it’s arcane mages that spam arcane missiles and more arcane missiles.
Yea one of my Vulpera was an arcane mage. It’s pretty broken at that level. Sometimes people will even comment that they have X more mages than we do before the game even starts.
Resto shaman is pretty strong in the 20s also.
It’s also probably worth noting that an allied race that starts at 20 starts with greens in almost every slot, so if you have heirlooms including trinkets the only slot you tend to be missing is 1-2 rings depending on if you have the heirloom rings or not. Old races would be more likely to have empty slots.
edit: made a new one to test I guess they only start with: boots, pants, belt gloves, weapon, bracers and chest but if you have heirlooms that tends to just be a rings or no rings thing
Ha! I just checked my 38 shaman. I have no belt, gloves or wrists and only one ring. I have been top 3 damage / KB’s in all the BG’s I have done.
Missing a piece or 3 seems fine…
How much stats are you missing?
I have no idea, I don’t actually have that gear. I have been levelling an playing BG’s, and not gotten anything for those slots yet.
Maybe the people I played with just weren’t that good then. Anyone who was missing gear was low dps/heals/no kills/etc…
I had no idea I had so little gear! I should probably check the AH next time I am in town…
I happen to have a 39 vulpera shaman! So just to check:
my 41 ilvl belt has 13 stamina, 8 int
my wrists are ilvl 42 and have 9s 6i
25 gloves have 8s 5i (I think these are vulpera starter gloves but not sure)
43 ilvl heirloom shoulders to compare at that level 13s 8i
I only have some blues because I stopped PvPing on that at some point and did some dungeons trying to decide if I wanted to get it to 120 to replace my orc shaman.
you’re welcome
So I handed in a quest and got my second ring!
I looked in my bags and found a belt and wrists, just never equipped them!
I have enchanted heirlooms too though.
I think for lowbie BG’s it is more like:
I think missing slots is definitely not making things easier, I just don’t think they make or break lowbie pvp. At least for me they didn’t seem to, and I wasn’t even playing the OP resto spec.
Player skill comes in to that list somewhere too I am sure lol.
Maybe it counts what’s in your bag?
Player skill is 2nd behind arcane mage and hunter.
I laugh every time someone back peddles or forgets they have an interrupt/cc. It just seems funny to back peddle away from a ranged unit.
What counts?
I was still missing 2 slots though.
The stunned look of an arcane mage that just got interrupted
