Yea, it’s very sad. Not hard to get slots for missing pieces.
What if they’re RPing monks?
Judgey, much? Or just a Goblin pushing more gold farm?
I mean, they can do what they want, but don’t come here crying about people who actually gear killing them. That’s kinda the point he was making.
Where else would one go to point out areas that a gaming community forum uses to get dev attention?
Filter yourself, not others.
But what attention do they want? They are literally missing gear. Do they want the devs to strip down the enemies gear?
I’d rather there be no gear other than cosmetics and learn/access talent trees. So yeah, maybe. But regardless of their intent: people will complain on the boards. The company wants them to!
Now with both sides complaining, it’s on the company to hear it and evaluate/acknowledge.
This wouldn’t be wow without gear. I’m all for templates though, but I’m definitely a minority in that opinion.
No excuse to be missing gear slots even on a fresh 120. Takes like 10 minutes to fly around and knock out the ring/trinket world quests (free option).
Then there’s also cheap BOE rings and trinkets on the auction house, plenty of 800-1500 gold BOE rings on there. You can drop 2000-3000 gold and have ring slots within minutes of hitting 120.
I’d be game for no gear only cool cosmetic and title stuff
They would have to really work on balancing
Like certain classes really shine until they get geared up
While other’s right out the gate are good
If they managed to do it , I’d play it
Reminds me of Warhammer Mobo
RP servers where you can literally mine with double xp are in the same bgs/brackets. Who knows what they might not be wearing. But the big issue is some people are not ready to be competitive, and some are, and you can gate the competitive one and hold those accountable with more stringent boots/etc
Also, flying wasn’t as easy as it has been the last 5-6 years. In addition, you assume they CAN fly in the content areas to get the cloak and trinkets? We start taking things for granted when we have done it for the last like, 3 expacks. lol
Some people are bad at the game. /shrug So what?
If you really can’t stand playing with bad people, make a group and kick out anyone who doesn’t play the way you want them to.
All this blaming everyone else for playing in random BG’s in a way that does not live up to your standards is funny. If it makes you feel better, I guess keep blaming everyone else for your bad games, but just keep it to yourself.
Blizzard can improve the systems (which should be the real point of discussion), not who plays the game.
Being bad is one thing. Missing entire gear pieces is a whole other level.
Go play a BG and remove a slot, report your findings.
You have repeatedly claimed that gear is not an issue for anyone in BG’s, so which one is it? Every single piece of gear matters a lot, or gear is not that big of a deal?
And when I do , the pre-made not fair protesters complian
In low level bgs without scaling, gear matters. Scaling is a max level thing. The only thing they scale low levels is level. Also, never said gear doesn’t matter to the extent you should play without pieces on.
How does that ruin your BG’s?
What extent does it matter then? what is the cutoff? How much ilvl does one lose without 1 or 2 pieces of gear?
EDIT: in low level PvP or max level? I will try both.
You lose quite a bit of int and stamina. And people come in with more than 1 or 2 missing gear. I found this out when I was doing my low level experiment in the twink days. Mostly talking about low level, but missing gear at max level would be horrendous too.
Missing a slot in low level PvP actually is just another design problem. You level fast, especially right now. You aren’t given the gear from the BGs. If you do a dungeon right now that can give you like 3 levels if you’re in heirlooms and you might not even get gear for the slot you’re missing. If you just want to play in lowbie PvP for fun, doing any other content will quickly level you out of your current bracket.
Even if you fill your precious slot so people who inspect you and go cry on the forums if you don’t meet their standards are happy, that slot will quickly fall way behind in item level since only heirlooms scale as you level.
Also, class balance matters a hell of a lot more than a small number of empty slots in lowbie PvP currently. You don’t even get enough stam from a piece of gear to survive another hit in the early brackets. IE: you’ll notice a bigger difference stepping into an early BG as a fire/frost mage vs. arcane than you will with or without rings equipped.
They allow you to turn off xp to go get gear. Justify it all you want, I’ll never agree.
